Ive had this recipe in my notebook for a long time. I make this for my friends and family who just love chocolate. I always use oreos as no other "copy kat" cookie will do. Tips: Use a flat bottomed glass to gently flatten and move the orero mixture. Slowly push a little bit up the sides of the pan. In step 3, Do not let the chocolate / heavy cream mix boil. In step 4 you must be patient and wait until the mixture is completely cool or you may melt the whipped cream that is folded in step 5 Death By Chocolate: -------------------------------- 20-24 oreo cookies, crushed 1/4 cup butter, softened 1c heavy cream 2c heavy cream 1c heavy cream 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 12 ounce bittersweet chocolate chips 1 t vanilla extract 1 pinch salt ------------------------------- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Generously grease a 9 inch spring-form pan with 2 3/4 inch sides. 2. In a medium bowl, mix together crushed cookies and softened butter or margarine.
