Solid well made ruler. Easy to read and love the cork backing as it quiets it down! Good value for money!

I have had this ruler for a couple of weeks now and have used it for my art classes in college and it bends a lot without breaking and doesn’t slide around on the table when I’m measuring stuff.

I bought: Breman Precision Metal Ruler 18 Inch - Stainless Steel Cork Back--I did not have any of the problems listed with the other reviews.--I bought the Bremen ruler because it had the rounded corners (others ones with square corners are a problem and both my paper and I suffered scratches from that implement of torture.--I also appreciate the clear vinyl "case" (just wish it was a little sturdier).

Okay, so I did tons of research before buying this ruler. I have seen bad reviews on Amazon for this product, but I can't for the life of me understand why? This is an accurate, well made, solid stainless ruler, and us very clearly etched and marked. I can't fine one negative this to say about it. I am a guitar builder and needed an accurate ruler in the 36" range to add to my 12", 18" and 24". They are all different brands and thus us by far the best of the 4. The price was great and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this ruler to anyone. It is flexible, it is a ruler and not a ground stiff straight edge. Made in Germany and I have found that all German made measuring devices are high quality.

I am a beginner guitarist (at age 66) and beside practicing I also like to toy around with the guitars, setting them up, adjusting the neck and string height and intonation. I was using a 24" carpenter's square that I had to check for levelness on the neck. What you actually want is a slight bow of about 0.005" to 0.020" in the middle of the neck at the 8th fret.This metal ruler was much easier to use than my square and easy to eyeball the neck relief and then measure it with feeler gauges.

The ruler is a thin piece of laser etched sheet metal and cork. combined it’s less than 1mm. so shoddily made that it warps with the slightest force and flops under it’s own weight. For $23 this is an absolute scam. Avoid.

Ordered a metal ruler with a corked back so I could measure and cut stuff easily, and that's exactly what I can do with this fine specimen. No ruler has ever been so straight and pure of heart. It's now my "go to" straight edge in times of need.
