Never again going to buy used/ like new electronics again at this price point it should have impressed me greatly . The remote was missing and after a full charge of almost 8 hrs. I hear clicks, and popping like it had been tampered with somewhere between original owner, and myself Totally disappointed with this purchase.oh by like new the up, and down button was worn and looked smudged brown . Never buy anything used/ like new.

If you are wanting to have the ability to hear your sound on the road and your frequent hotel stays this is the unit for you.

Almost 3k for a dac? That’s crazy! But you get what you pay for!! I love the Chord sound, and I’ve been using the Mojo for years until finally taking the plunge to upgrade to the Hugo 2. It’s a definite financial plunge, but the technology and sonic quality the Hugo 2 produces punches well above its weight. I bought this from a local audio store (not Amazon) and the salesman after listening to the Hugo 2 paired with my Beyerdynamics T1’s (2nd Gen), is (from his words) only like 15% behind the Chord DAVE ($12,000) with the Focal Utopia ($4000). Very nice Job Chord with the Hugo 2!! If I were to describe the sound, I would say: A pitch black background, huge soundstage with incredible layering and detail, from the very low sub bass all the way up to the highest treble. Everything is presented exactly as the artist intended, with plenty of layering and separation between each musical instrument and vocals. Absolutely no distortion whatsoever which is amazing at this price point. Somehow, Chord managed to include all of this detail while bringing out the emotion of the music. I listen to almost every genre of music and I’m amazed at how well this performs, so I figured I’d pass it forward and give Chord a little extra love here on Amazon :) If you have the coin, and a good pair of cans that can handle it, this is a great deal.
