PopSockets Phone Grip for MagSafe, Magnetic Holder- Gaudy Gold

I was having some second thoughts about ordering this as photos and videos of it don’t seem to make it look worth the £30+ price tag. Tried cancelling the order but it was already being prepared so not able to. Received it today and it looks so much better in real life than online. I’m so pleased at having it stuck on my phone case. Cool thing is the blue sand also glows bright in the dark - not an oft-advertised fact about it. If you’re like me who loves gazing at sand clocks, liquid motion timers, lava lamps, etc then you won’t regret buying this. It’s like having one of these toys always with you. Okay now I’m not sure the costs of producing this necessarily is worth as much as the nearly £35 I paid for it. My criticism is the folding base of the popsocket seems a bit flimsy and made of thin bendy plastic. It feels like if I yanked it a bit too hard or too many times, it would eventually wear out and even develop breaks or holes in it. In fact yes had a look at popsocket reviews and quite a few said theirs broke over time.Also I tried the included MagSafe magnetic ring sticker on one of my non-MagSafe phone cases - and I didn’t like it. Basically they include this for people who don’t have a MagSafe case, but I found it doesn’t allow me to take off the popsocket more than once. The first time I tried to take off the popsocket from my non-MagSafe case, the magnetic ring sticker partially detached from my phone case, which then required me to press it back down again. I’m sure if I take off the popsocket from the magnetic ring sticker more times, eventually the sticker adhesive will wear out and not stick well to the case anymore, which then makes the popsocket not great for use on my non-MagSafe phone case. So my recommendation is you get a MagSafe case to attach this popsocket to. Works a lot better this way and you can attach and take off the popsocket more easily and you don’t have to worry about a peeling magnetic ring sticker on your case!I suppose yes it’s quite a spendy purchase for what it is. You know if you use it a lot, it would probably wear out and break eventually, but you could always spend money on another, if you happen to have a bit of money at the time. ~£35 is not cheap for something that just allows you to grip the phone better, but it is aesthetically pleasing and you could argue there’s no price on making you feel better. There are many cheaper alternatives but none of those have the cool tidepool effect of the Popsockets tidepool range.

Great option if you want the option to take your popsocket on and off. It works with my case which is not an official magsafe case. Very strong grip. Great value for money. Easy to remove.

Really pleased with this magnetic PopSocket. The magnet is strong and holds securely to my phone without slipping. As I have a large phone, it makes it much easier and more comfortable to hold, giving me a much better grip. It also works brilliantly as a stand for video calls or watching videos hands free. As you can see in the photo, the colour is really beautiful and adds a lovely touch to my phone. The quality feels great and the design is stylish too. Excellent value for money I’d definitely recommend it.

Perfect for my new Pixel phone & MagSafe Spigen case. Having used an ordinary Pop socket on my previous phone for 3 years I was happy to find the MagSafe upgrade as I find them indispensable. Can be taken off without needing to remove the case for wireless charging.

I love Popsockets far too much. They started off as a practical addition to my phone, but now I have quite the collection. This was the latest addition to the collection.As with all Popsockets, I’ve got no issue with how it sticks to the phone. It seems well adhered, and only once have I accidentally managed to knock it off the phone. MagSafe power is strong. I’m not sure they need to be selling it with a MagSafe base though - I already have bases in multiple different colours from my other Popsockets. Maybe give us the chance to just buy the top?Build quality is good. I’m not sure on longevity, as it’s clear plastic, and if, like me, you’ve put your Popsockets onto the surface of your desk or table, rather than your phone’s screen, it’s going to get scratched. It’s happened to every Popsocket I’ve ever owned. Too many scratches are going to eventually spoil the design. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised and this will be scratch resistant?The glow in the dark effect is cool, but you will need to charge it up by holding it under a light source like a lamp for a while. Glow time isn’t very long, even if you recharge it for ages. It emits a gentle glow. Nothing harsh which will light up a room, but enough to make it noticeable if you’re looking at it.Of course, the elephant in the room here is the price. Is it really worth nearly £36 (At the time of purchase)? I’m thinking not. There’s no way this cost nearly £40 to make, and as I said, I think the scratching will spoil it eventually.Overall then, and fun little trinket for Popsocket collectors, and anyone who wants to add something amusing to their phone. It’s also great for calming your mind. It only loses a star because the price makes it prohibitively expensive for many people.

I already owned this exact pop socket and was gutted to misplace it last week. I realised immediately how much I had come to rely on it, as someone with tendonitis in my hand.Pop sockets generally make holding phones and kindles SO much easier, and takes stress off my wrist and thumb joints.The magnet works well, the metal pop socket is durable (unlike the plastic versions) and I think the floral print design is gorgeous. I've had many women stop me and ask what it is and where I've gotten it from.I'll never not use one now. I love them.

My third Pop Socket and I'm obsessed with it! The sand in this one moves much more freely than the little rainbow, alien and mushroom charms in my other tidepool type Pop Socket and it's proving to be as much of a fidget/stress toy as it is a grip for my phone. Didn't even realise it was supposed to glow-in-the-dark until I read the other reviews here just now so I'll be checking that out tonight! Honestly, these are all overpriced for what they are but if you're patient you can often grab them when they're marked down a fair bit. Got mine for about £23 as it was a warehouse return but was still in the packaging when it arrived 👍👍

I was wary buying a "Used - Like New" item but it worked out so well for the reduced price. Gotta save where you can! The packaging was open but the items all perfectly intact and unused. The adaptive ring sticker was included and the whole pop socket. The guide for application was of not much use tbh, but hey still nice to see. The magnets are extremely strong! Much stronger than I expected and it takes a good hard dig to get the two sides unstuck. Excellent!

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem PopSocket! Das Luftpolster auf der Rückseite ist super squishy und macht tatsächlich richtig Spaß zum Herumspielen. 😄 Die Farbkombination aus leuchtendem Gelb und Pink sieht außerdem richtig cool aus und fällt sofort auf.Auch praktisch finde ich, dass das weiche Luftpolster noch einen zusätzlichen Nutzen hat: Wenn man das Handy auf eine glatte Oberfläche legt, liegt es etwas weicher auf und rutscht nicht so schnell weg. Für mich ist das fast wie ein kleiner zusätzlicher Schutz.Der PopSocket selbst funktioniert ebenfalls sehr gut. Einziger Punkt, den ich persönlich ändern würde, ist die magnetische Befestigung. Ich vertraue den klassischen Klebefüßen einfach mehr. Egal wie stark ein Magnet ist – wenn das Handy herunterfällt oder man irgendwo mit dem PopSocket hängen bleibt, kann sich die magnetische Verbindung lösen.Deshalb habe ich mir zusätzlich einen PopSocket mit Klebefuß gekauft und die Aufsätze ausgetauscht. Leider konnte ich nur noch einen pinken Klebefuß bekommen – ein gelber oder orangener hätte natürlich viel besser zu meinem Aufsatz gepasst. 😄Ich hoffe sehr, dass PopSockets diese Squishy-Serie weiterführt und auch weiterhin Varianten mit klassischen Klebefüßen anbietet. Ich überlege sogar, mir vorsichtshalber noch einen zweiten zu kaufen, falls diese Serie irgendwann nicht mehr erhältlich sein sollte.Von mir auf jeden Fall eine klare Empfehlung – tolles Design, tolle Farben, praktisch und das Squishy-Luftpolster macht einfach Spaß!

Love this pop socket. It’s the first pop socket I have actually kept on my phone and I like that you can prop the phone on its side to watch like videos with the popsocket. Love the design!
