Tastes good, but a lot of salt for a $10 rub
This sweet peeper honey chicken by Fire & Smoke tastes pretty good. It's definitely heavy on fresh flavors, so I can tell there's some quality behind this. This particular one is like a hint of that thanksgiving dinner smell mixed with some nice bright citrusy flavors. I don't get a lot of honey, but it does finish with a nice hint of sweetness. I will definitely enjoy using it, BUT it also has a lot of salt for this price point. Based on the nutrition label, it's 18% salt. I like to focus on rubs with little to no salt, especially if I'm paying $10, since I have to then adjust my normal salt to meat ratios for everything I use a salty rub on. If I see this brand on sale I'll definitely try their other flavors.
