If you really want long battery lifer your AirTags, you found it.
The AirTags have a decent enough battery life, but if you have a need for something even longer, these should work well. The main criticism I see about this is the size and whether the case affects detection range or muffles the noise of the AirTag when you trigger the speaker from your phone. Here's what I observed:The size of this is about the same as a toy harmonica. They have to use two AA batteries (Energizer lithium are the best choice) for super long operating life. They say 10 years - based upon the capacity of the CR2032 vs the two AA batteries, this works out on paper, so we'll see. I've has a couple going now for two months and they are still going great. The clamshell that holds the AirTag has a rubber gasket and is sealed with four torx-type bolts. There is nothing on the case that can be used to help affix it to an object which is a bit disappointing. The case also does not reveal what it is either. You can assemble one of these in a minute or two, it's very easy: Pop the back off the AirTag and remove the battery. Put the AirTag on the round connector. Put in two AA batteries. Close the case and screw in the 4 bolts.A cannot attest to how well it prevents water intrusion, but it is far better than the AirTag itself. The company that makes these has been making AirTag holders and protective devices for bikes and scooters for a while, and the case is pretty tough.I can hear the AirTag quite clearly , even in the case. The sound seems to resonate pretty well. It's ever so slightly quieter than a bare AirTag. Range was surprisingly good. Sitting on a countertop, I was able to detect it with my phone's finder device from 20+ feet away (a bare AirTag would get up to 30 feet). At 20 feet, the arrow on the phone points directly at it and I had no problem using the phone to find the tag.I use these for my luggage and as a location marker for our two cars. The AirTags in our luggage work great by themselves but the batteries in them typically start to report low power once a trip is underway, which is quite annoying. These should solve that problem. For our cars, wee keep one of these hidden inside. Due to the long battery life, we can hide these quite well in an inaccessible area because we don't have to dig these out every year or two to replace the batteries. Finally, getting a multi-pack can make getting a set of these a pretty good value. The 4-pack I purchased made this quite the deal.See the attached photo to get a good idea as to the size of the item. In the photo is a closed and open case and a Toyota key fob and AirTag for size comparison.

Smaller than expected but still bulky
i ordered this airtag case thinking it was gonna be bigger from the photos but its actually smaller than i imagined which is good but still kinda bulky you know like the material is thick so it protects well but when you put it on keys or a bag it still feels chunky maybe they could make it even thinner and keep the protection the good part is the airtag fits super tight no rattling and the color looks nice but taking it off is hard gotta use nails or something which might scratch it over time for the price its not bad if you dont care about size but if you want something slim keep looking its okay for like a bike or luggage but not my first pick for daily stuff

Sturdy, and keeps my AirTag running for years
I bought this AirTag case so that I could use it with my luggage, while at the same time being able to extend the time in between battery replacements. I love how sturdy the case is. It is also very easy to insert an AirTag into it. Was inserted, all you have to do is add to AA batteries. Make sure, however, that you use high-quality, long life, AAs, otherwise it is likely that they will go bad quickly and start leaking. Yes, that means spending a little bit more on batteries. However, it will be worth it in the end.The case was easy to open, put together again, and that is definitely also a plus. All in all, I am very happy with this case.

Good and bad
I agree with other posts that I have read. Some of these are hit and miss in the four pack that I bought. They secure closed fine, but it's the connection on the inside that is questionable. If they had a locking mechanism like the Apple system, I think I would be happier knowing they are secure. I also did something similar as somebody else and put a little padding on the inside so that it stays connected properly. I will also have to see over the long-term how many years this lasts.Updated to four stars from three for now. The company contacted me and I'm going to quote them: "Occasionally AirTag won't chirp when you press it down, we believe that is just a software thing with AirTag." They said they had tested the connection extensively. I'll hope to test out replacements. One thing I did not do, which I would encourage others to try, is to check the find my app for a positive connection if you don't hear a chirp.

Works good but just a warning
So love the idea. The airtags in my kids backpack die sometimes and I can't replace the battery when they are in school and I forget. I think these are a good idea for that occasion.Just careful. Some how my airtags reset and became unresponsive. Took me a while to figure out what happened and reinstall them.Would be nice if you can twist on to hold in place.

We'll see
Got it for the 10 year boast. We'll see. Just didn't want to have to monitor items I use Airtags on for longterm. The item is well made and sturdy and appears waterproof. Connects easily and seals up tight. Large size might make it undesirable for some uses. My priority was time duration over compact size. (vehicles, trikes, luggage, etc.) Time will tell if it stands up. Note: I use special Ultimate Lithium AA batteries that guaranteed to last for years without leaking.

Amazing Battery Brick for the Air Tag... 10 Years? We'll see.
Was researching about anyway of modding the battery for the air tag to last longer than 1 year and this is the closest thing that is off the shelf. I like that i uses 2 AA batteries for each unit. So getting battery for these are no issues. Building quality is great.I was a little worried that some people got fault units within their pack, but luckily all 4 of mine worked as should and was able to pair with the phone no issues. I would totally recommend this if you don't mind the larger form factor and extra weight.Great for luggage, backpacks, and cars. Not so great for keys obviously. I totally recommend, but be sure to check every pack making sure they work.
