excellent to get A band for elderly people, you set Spanish and Haitian radio stations. Works great in Miami área. Is a solid radio not really big and a big heavy but not too much. Great for elderly to put on table Will not Flip over.

Good sensitivity, as others have said. Selectivity also good. In my environment, I need to run it on batteries to keep the noise from other stuff (like USB power supplies) away. The tuning is a little notchy, like all modern sdr designs, but good and stable once you get tuned in At first I thought the tone with ear buds was a little bass heavy but either I got used to it or it was something else making me think this. It's as good as my other radios that I use for AM DX. The volume control is nice and smooth but not to loose. Additionally it was a great price on sale. It would be nice if it had digital tuning, but not a big deal

This review gets right to the point:What you see is what you get. No fancy bells or whistles. Just a plain AM-FM radio with a touchy dial.The antenna works as it should, and the option for portable radio listeners is here with the option for batteries.The speakers are serviceable for a small area. A bit “tinny” sounding, but this isn’t a dealbreaker for this style of radio in the slightest.I wouldn’t recommend taking this to the beach, but for an end table or a small outdoor space it’s ideal. It also comes with a power cord for inside listening.I would recommend having this little portable radio for weather emergencies (power loss) or for small areas. It’s not for jamming out to, it’s more for staying informed and listening to a bit of music in a proper space.

Very nice radio for the price. Very clear and audible and works well even without the antenna being up. Very easy to use and very portable. My husband carries it everywhere with him.

Volume is amazing! The sound is great! I got this radio to go to the drive in, since my car radio no longer works. It picks up tons of stations. It only takes 4 AA batteries and has the option to plug in. It is perfect for what I need. I might even use it while doing yard work like the good old days.

I wanted a basic radio without any extras, and this is exactly what I was looking for. I live in a somewhat rural area but within 50 miles of my state's capital and 3 other midsize towns, but my other radios/"boom boxes" don't pick up many stations. Definitely not clearly.This one tunes in every station I could want, and does it crisply and clearly. Old fashioned dial tuner works amazingly well.As another reviewer said - since it only does one thing, it's the focus for manufacturing.

Very nice, simple radio. Compact and easy to use. Perfect to use on the back porch. Works either on 110v or batteries.

Good little radio. I have attached to a smart plug that turns on after sunrise and off before sunset. Gives a little ambient noise to keep my pet bird company during the days when I'm out.
