Anna and Sarah Dried Turkish Figs in Resealable Bag, 3 Lbs

These dried figs are amazing! They are a golden color, and have great flavor. This is my third year ordering these for the holidays. I will order again.

There's a few ( in my case) that where uneateable but the majority, great. It's like a Pandora box. I just felt a little bit uneasy with some of them with white dots in the inside, but i believe its the sugar cristalized, that happen with the medjools date.

Good quality figs – and that's not always easy to find.

These figs are amazing for my digestion, however, about a quarter of them were dark and sour to the point that I think they were bad. The tan ones were great but not happy with the overall value.

I have always gotten my figs, which have become my snack item when there is a sweet craving, from the local food co-operative that sells them in bulk. You know, the bin that you flip open the lid and rummage around in with a tong to try to get the best looking ones. Same as dozens of others have done, touched and breathed on. There is a way to work around that health problem but this is not the place for it. So, I saw this offer with about a 25% better price and the understanding that they would come in a commercially sealed bag. Package arrived as promised and the attractive plastic package was machine sealed. Next item was to judge the taste. The package stated the product originated in Turkey with, as I understood it, the packing and distribution done in New Jersey. Overall I found them to be slightly tougher, and had just a slightly different taste which might come from the bag. The taste and chewy texture however, are not enough to reject it for the price. As for the differences within the reviews re toughness or tenderness and moist or dry, I can only surmise that variables within the growing, picking, transporting and time sitting prior to packing may be effecting the gradient quality and/or perceptions. Perhaps some improved quality control for consistency is needed.
