It does not work!
I am very disappointed with this used vcr. It does not work. I had expected a better quality device coming from your company. I have bought many items from your company and was very happy with them. The only review I can give this item is minus 5, I feel that I no longer can order an electric device from your company and feel confident that it will work!

Very good used condition
Arrived in great shape. So far has done exactly what I wanted it to do which was to capture home movies to a digital format and place on thumb drives. Rewind, fast forward and play functions all working great.

I'm happy with my Sony VCR purchase
I found the Sony VCR able to meet my needs and wants plus it was easy to set up which for an 82 year old woman is a major plus. I have had it a year now and it is used on an almost daily basis without any problem at all. Yes, I would say I am pleased, more than pleased with my purchase.

Even though VHS's are outdated, I would expect it to at least work when I received it:
On March 8th I received this item. It took a few weeks before my son could hook it up for me. It didn't work. So, then I brought it down the Cape House & my daughter tried to hook it up there & well, it still wouldn't work, same thing, kept stopping & releasing the tape, terrible picture when it did catch, just didn't work, & would spit out the tapes, so, I then let a friend take it to see if it worked on with her electronic stuff & same thing broken, really used, & wouldn't work so now May 28th, I still have this item, still hoping I could get it to work because I can't send it back or have it replaced, the policy is April 1st. You might ask why bother it is something so outdated for today's entertainment, well, I have a lot of tapes, actually, I don't like every copy of the CD replacements especially the widescreen CD's, for these old tape replacements, I can't get the view I want. Well, anyway, not all used items you buy from Amazon work ever again, I feel that $80.00 went right "down the drain" LOL.

I've returned the item because it was defective.
The VHS player played fine. Unfortunately the tape rewind didn't work and it took some effort to get the tape to eject. There was not a remote control at all and no documentation. I downloaded a user's manual from Sony's web site but there was no mention of a way to fix the problems we were having.
