My dog will be celebrating his 15th birthday on Nov 1st, 2024. He has been on HALO food for 12 years. I started buying Halo after the dog had a bout of gastroenteritis. It was a frustrating search for a food he could tolerate since a diet of home-made food became difficult to maintain. After, trying more than 20 brands, including prescription foods from the vet, Halo was found to be the only food that he could eat without digestive issues. He has thrived on Halo food and his health is incredibly good! People are continually shocked at his age - even the vet is astounded that he's nearly 15 years old. He looks and acts half his age.

We have two small dogs, a fifteen pound maltese and a twelve pound "pound puppy" that looks like a havanese, maltese, poodle mix. We had tried various kibbles which we serve with canned chicken. Our dogs would eventually eat the dry food, but with little enthusiasm. Some friends recommended Halo. We got several different flavors that came in the big bags, and while they seemed to like it more than most of the other brands, they still did not eat it with anything near the voraciousness exhibited for the canned chicken. Then, one day, while preparing to buy another bag of one of the larger size bags of Halo, i noticed this variety labeled for small breeds. I didn't like the fact that it was only available in the somewhat pricier four and ten pound bag sizes and i wondered rather labeling it for small breeds was merely a gimmick. Well, at least for my dogs, the answer was a solid "No, it isn't a gimmick." My dogs absolutely love this food and eat it just as quickly as the canned chicken. Their bowls are empty within a minute. And the end products of their digestion indicate that they are making proper use of it. I still grouse at the fact that i have to pay so much more per pound for this than for the Halo varieties that come in the bigger bags. But given how much our dogs love it, i'm extremely happy with this variety. Thank you very much Halo. Now could you sell it in a 28 pound bag, please?

Bob and Walter are 11 and 13 year old Rat Terriers. They have become more finicky over the years as a result of dental difficulties and their owner's propensity to change their food often because they wouldn't eat it well. I found Halo dog foods after searching top rated dog foods by customer ratings and vet recommendations. I buy the adult small breed Spot's Stew Chicken. I am not sure if there is a senior product for small dogs, but if so I will probably buy it in the future as I currently supplement their diet with glucosamine/chondroitin treats for their hips and joints. They LOVE this food. They gobble it right up the minute it hits their bowls. The small kibble size is great as they are dentally challenged...they have teeth, just not all of them. :-) I would highly recommend this food to anyone I know or don't know. Although it may seem to be in the high end of pricing, I find it is economical as they don't eat much of it and there is absolutely NO waste. Great product. I've been feeding this to my 4 year old maltese since she was a pup. She digests it well. Now that she's older I do need to add some toppers to make it more interesting to get her to eat.

To bad they don't have a 5 lbs bag, my dog is a smooth hair portuguese podengo piqueno so he's in-between a med and small size dog so the food barely lasts 3 weeks because it come in 3.5lbs bag, bummer!

Our doggies LOVE this food! They are picky eaters but get excited when we put the bowls down. We have also seen their coats improve and their weight balance out.

Healthy for your dog, it's the only brand my dog will eat. I can only find it on Amazon. I cannot find it in the pet stores.

Halo has been a game changer. I finally found a food my dog loves. And it has markedly changed his digestive system. Let’s just say we went from years of problems to completely normal stools. My vet had no solution to offer but Halo has done the trick. I highly recommend trying it.
