So far so good
Appears to be working fine. I didn't know if our old one was working or not but, while I was switching out the defrost timer, I figured that I would switch out the thermostat while I was at it. We have an old Kitchenaid Superba that's over 20 years old and it's never had any problems until some defrosting problems where the drain in the freezer was clogging with ice. Then, after clearing that out, only about half of the freezer was cold and the refrigerator wasn't cooling. After installing the two new components, everything seems to be working fine again. The old wires on the thermostat were brown and pink and the new unit has black and red. I did some research and everyone with the question of what wire to connect to which were answered that, in this case, it doesn't matter. This unit doesn't come with connectors so make sure you have two.

Worked perfectly, save me a lot of $$$$
I have a 2009 whirlpool refrigerator, I noticed that it wasn’t turning off. The top freezer was nice and cold but the bottom was not cold. The vent that goes down to the bottom was completely frozen. I did some research (YouTube) haha and found out that it could be my thermostat. I did some troubleshooting and found out my thermostat was bad. This thermostat from Amazon looks almost exactly the same. After replacing the thermostat the refrigerator has been turn on and off like it’s suppose to, without any issues. This $10 thermostat saved $1000 because I was about to buy a new refrigerator, it was a simple, easy fix.

Kenmore Refrigerator-Fixed my temperature control and frost buildup problem
Has fixed my seven-year old Kenmore (#69312) top fridge/bottom freezer since I installed this thermostat 4 months ago. About seven months ago, I began encountering temperature control issues, first with the freezer and then refrigerator operating way too warm. After unplugging/plugging a few times and melting all the frost buildup (in this frost free unit), the issues kind of went away for a little while but then resumed after a few weeks. So, I took a chance and purchased this thermostat. Replacement was pretty easy (although a bit awkward as it the thermostat is located in the rear right corner of the freezer compartment accessed by the front, not rear of the fridge). Had to cut the wires to remove the old thermostat and simply connect the new thermostat wires using sealed knurl nuts. There are some youtube videos out there by folks that show you how to do the replacement.
