THIS WORKS
For my 17 year old terrier who was having trouble walking because of hip and spine issues, these have made a huge difference. They just wrap around the hock but having these on has let her walk again although slowly ;) Before her feet would slowly slide off to the side (think Bambi) or toward her front legs as her leg muscles were so weak. These help hold her upright and while she walks a little stiffly she now cruises around the house on her own. The best part is that after a month of wearing these a couple of times a day and being up and walking more frequently I think she is rebuilding her leg muscles! Even without the braces now she is up and walking freely in the house and yard. We do put them on her a few times a day to increase the support which gives her the confidence to walk. Win-win. ***** The one thing you HAVE to be careful of is that since they have to be snug to provide needed support, they can begin to rub the thin skin on the leg and could cause bad sores. As soon as we started to see the pink skin and there was no fur on the leg in that area, we began applying coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime. We also have decided to use a soft piece of cotton fabric (think old tee shirt) under the brace so that it reduces the abrasion of the brace sitting directly on the skin. Definitely worth the money but check the size carefully. We ordered XS and S since our dog was in between sizes. The XS is tight but the correct size I guess. The S was approximately 3 times bigger than the XS so the increments between sizes does not seem to make sense. Use the sizing chart for sure!!! Luckily with Amazon you can return the other pair if you purchase 2 to get the right size :) Customer service from Neoally was quick and helpful.

Works well, helps with walking
My poor kitty is almost 16vyears old and his left hip splays when hecwalks. These braces are very easy to put on and off and support his legs really well. He can walk much more easily. We have hardwood floors, so we have him wear kitty traction socks as well.

Fits very small dogs, seems to stay put. Luxating patella
I was surprised to find that this would fit my 6 pound Pomeranian, but it does! My dog has the tiniest little legs so I was really surprised. Of course they were Velcro tightest allowed that they could be but they fit! I was also concerned that they wouldnโt stay put on his leg, that they would slide down and they seem to be doing a fairly good job of staying where the opening is for the kneecap. If you feel the kneecap it is in the hole where it is meant to be. I saw a lot of other reviews where it seemed to work pretty much right away and unfortunately for me he is still limping on the leg. It could also be that this mechanism is uncomfortable for him and he will need time to get used to it. I noticed that he still would only hobble on his good leg, so I ended up adding the brace to that leg as well, so that his favored leg doesnโt start to bother him. So basically heโs walking around with braces on both back legs right now and he seems to be doing an OK job. I would say a little less limping. I will change my review in a week or so after if hopefully I see positive results. If he continues to limp on the leg and not use it even with the brace, I probably wonโt continue using them.

Works great for dog, but product doesnโt last more than a month.
Let me first say, these braces have greatly helped my 11yr old hound. Hock joints injuries have started to be a problem this year for him, and these have helped him heal and protect him from re-injury while in longer walks. That being said, the product needs some improvement, especially for almost 30 bucks for one pair. I have included pictures from less than a monthโs use. Fallen apart before a wash and my dogs only had these on when walking or in yard playing. So for these to be coming apart less than a month after buying isnโt cool. Need reinforcement sticking around the entire thing. Other than that, works great!

Purfect first aid back leg support for cats
My eighteen-year old kitty's back legs turned both limp after jumping off his stool two days ago. He was moving better the next day, but quite wobbly and could not jump onto his comfy chair; then today, he started having massive urinary and bowel incontinence heavy vocalizing and drinking a lot of water while meowing. It was becoming a nightmare for me. Thankfully, when I received the hind leg neoprene braces today(ordered it exactly two days ago) and put them on my kitty, all the wobbliness and limp stopped, and he was moving normally and could jump onto his chair. He was able to urinate normally in his box. So I am trusting that it was a sprain injury, and nothing worse (and a massive monetary savings from an unnecessary, and expensive visit to an emergency animal hospital or a vet clinic , and the stress it would have put on my cat from it all) I will monitor the situation. He is a well-supplemented, energetic healthy kitty for his age. What I like most about this brace is the way it seems to contour around the rear leg back like a soft glove, and gives both gentle, strong support that you almost don't notice it being there on the cat, and doesn't irritate the fur (which is something I am concerned with my medium-haired cat). At first, my cat was mildly wondering what was going on, but then he moved about normally at his normal pace as if nothing happened to him. My hope that this will help stabilize the injury and help heal whatever inflamed soft tissue or muscle ligament. The material isn't at all flimsy or chintzy (like someone wrote in one of these reviews). Extra-small is the size for most cats (unless it is a larger breed, but the measurement indication table will tell you, after measuring the hock rear circumference with a paper measuring tape used for wait hip measurements (usually found in small sowing kit boxes) It was in a way a life-saver for my kitty today, and I am thankful it arrived in time today. It is obviously made with a deep understanding of the physiology and anatomy of cat's legs, for sure. And now he can sleep peacefully (which he is doing now) I am thankful, thankful thankful! This is something to add to any animal first- aid emergency kit, for both dogs and cats! And a good aid for physical rehabilitative therapy. A worthy health investment!

Not a robust product
The braces are easy to put on. They do not want to stay on the dog. We live at the beach. We are on the sand and in the ocean pretty much every day. Even walking around town the braces do not stay securely fastened. The closures do not stay fastened properly. In fact I have had to go out into the ocean twice now to retrieve the braces. Well they do offer some small level of support. With the activity level of our Labrador I was hoping for a bit more of a robust product.

12 Year old Chocolate Lab with RENEWED SENSE of his โPUPPINESSโ
Conner, my 12 year old 107 lb. Chocolate Lab, has had a GREAT life thus far... When he could no longer jump, run, go up & down stairs ... due to weakening Hip Joints & hind legs, arthritis, etc.... there was a much lesser sense of his natural โpuppyโ nature. Plus, even though he has always been a โlargerโ lab @ 87 lbs, his inability to move like he used to, he quickly put on the pounds to a woping 107 lbs!!! I purchased the NeoAlly Dog Hind Leg Braces & with the very 1st use, Conner perked right back up!!!... Wiggling is butt, rapidly wagging his tail in circles, and bouncing up & down wit his front legs... he was just SOOOO HAPPY.. Conner does walk with the BRACES like heโs a โdrunk old man in a cartoonโ (lol) BUT none the less he is moving MUCH BETTER. We previously had to LIFT Conner up & down our aproxiatimatly 11in high front stoop. NOW, with the BRACES, he gets up & down on his own, landing with both hind legs on the way down & easily lifting himself up on the way up.. never failing to acting like a happy camper that he did it all by himself. He now takes me on walks around the yard & happily lets me know when he would like to go in or lounge in the front yard watching for neighborhood walkers. As expected, with the atrophy in his hind left leg & a less defined leg joint, the brace does slip down quite often. However, Conner actually comes to me every time when the BRACE has fell down. He stands still by himself until i have made the appropriate adjustments & when it seems to โfeel rightโ, he walks away in a merry little way. Lastly, if that hasnโt convinced you just how much I think these BRACES are awesome... the other day when laying out in the yard, a couple walked by. BEFORE the braces, he really didnt pay too much attention to his surroundings, let alone that same couple walking on by. It really seemed as though he wanted to get in & out as Quickly as he could so he could get back in & plop himself down to rest his lags. HOWEVER, when the couple walked by a few days ago, he got SO EXCITED, he actually started to TROT..a bit for a moment!! Even though he couldnโt sustain the TROT, his EXCITEMENT for the couple still remained high with PUPPY LIKE movements he had STOPPED all together pryer to the BRACES.. For me.. thats what makes it ALL WORTH IT... heโs old, his body is worn down, & things are just harder for him all around... BUT the BRACES goes him a sense of his youth with the way they help him move, supporting his body in the place he needs it & helps him maneuver, even getting a little โfancyโ sometimes doing things he hadnโt attempted in quite awhile. Our dog walk for 30 minutes with no pain.
It took Rex a few minutes to get use to the Hock braces, then we went on a 30 minutes walk with no worries.

It Works!
While others gave this a bad review, I am pleasantly pleased with it. This helped my senior dog with a hind leg limp. She was able to walk and run again after a few weeks of rest. The price was worth it even for such a small item. It does snag a bit on her long fur but we had a little trim so it worked out perfect. Also donโt let your dog wear it for more than 4-6 hours and at night.

Product is good, and nice, but it doesn't fit to our dog and there is no return policy!
No returns option is available for this product, be careful with it!

Absolutely fab
If I had a better video of our dog when she first had these on I would send it to the manufacturers. She went absolutely bananas in them, from a dog struggling to get up and then comfortably move around with achilles tendon problems , she was like a puppy again. Whoever said dogs don't smile should have seen her that day. Grin from ear to ear. Thank you
