Great general purpose storage...
These were very cheap when I bought them (Autumn 2025). I use them as OSD devices in my Ceph cluster - nothing heavy duty - a bunch of containers running home automation and home lab stuff. The are wedged into Dell Optiplex USFF micro PCs so cooling is less than optimal. They perform well, they very rarely head north of 50 degrees, and have been in constant use - albeit very light write activity - for 6 months, with no issues.

I was trying to upgrade an older Acer Spin 3 laptop and the user manual said that it only supports 128GB or 256GB drives with a SATA III interface. I ordered a 2.5" drive in preparation but then discovered that it was an M.2 style drive when I opened it up to replace it. This laptop actually supports NVMe PCIe 3.0 drives but just doesn't mention it in the manual. Luckily I was able to source this ORICO drive and it arrived the next day, and worked perfectly. I use a lot of these Orico drives and find that they are very reliable, have long warranty 3 to 5 years and are faster than other brands in their class. Highly recommend this model if your laptop does not support higher PCIe versions.

Good Value at the time and works well
So far so good... Installed as a replacement/upgrade SSD and all woring fine. Purchase back in Novemeber but only now got around to installing. Noted this cost me under £50 and now would cost twice as much so good value for the purchase at the time
