STAT Light Lancing Device

I've used other lancers that looked like this, but this is the first one I've found that's as good or better than my old Freestyle lancer. It uses the same Freestyle lancets that are readily available, it's usually painless, and it rarely takes more than one attempt to draw blood. In short, it does the job it's made to do very well.

I had one just like this before, and it worked fine. This time -- not. The lancets poke out all the time, unless they get jammed in the top and bent. Also when I trigger it, the top comes flying off. As I said, it's useless. Waste of money.

It's a bit of a tight fit into my Free Style, one time it is hard to prick my finger, another time it sticks out even closed, but at least it gets the job done.

Like the size. Easy to hold and adjustable Lansing depth.

This unit seems harder to use that the original one I was using. I have a hard time getting a good blood sample.

I monitor my blood sugar on a daily basis.I dont like the lancer that comes with the kit.But this one I do like. I put it on a low setting and push it firmly against my finger before pressing.The firmness tends to numb the pain and allows the needle to work even at a low setting.I've bought several.
