Expert+ Second Skin Protection Dressings, 3 Count

I brought both the XL and smaller ones and they have solved a lengthy search for something that actually does what it says on the box. Waterproof and so easy to wear, no pulling on the compromised skin (usually compromised if using something like this), no irritation at or around application site, and actually, they look pretty darned ok once on. For reference, I have a healed ulcer scar , one on each shin front. One is from 2007, but still needs looking after, the other is from 2023 and really needs looking after. I am due on holiday soon, my first since forever, and having sought medical advice, was told to protect them from water when swimming, making the scar tissue too wet, therefore more able to be damaged when normal skin would be ok. I have tried so many products, expensive and less so, but none of them come within a whisker of being this brilliant. I initially brought one pack of each, and did a trial run, one of each being as one scar is huge, one fits (just) under the smaller dressing. Was so impressed I brought another 3 boxes of each! Saturday afternoon they both went on, Tuesday pm both off. No pulling, no tissue damage, in fact, both scars looked positively happy (trust me, I know when they are not). In the shower, I actually forgot they were on, soaping happily away. I did, on occasion, forget when drying my legs that they were on (the plasters, not my legs), and did towel dry with some vigour. And yet, still they stayed put. I did not feel any pulling of my skin when on, and bearing in mind I do wear loose top socks due to the scars and DM's because they really do keep foot swelling down, there was many opportunies for abrasion to rub that plaster/dressing off. Yet, still it stayed put. I have to say, I was then a tad worried they would not come off. So, Tuesday pm I sat and removed them, just in case they did cause damage, yet, oddly, off they came. Yes, I did remove slowly and carefully, who would not when uncovering an injured area, but honestly, I simply could not believe the adhesion of the product versus the ease of removal. Truly a gem because now I can finally get myself back into the swimming pool, having had to avoid it for such a long time. I am accident prone so need to take more care than your average Joe, but that is how I got both scars in the first place! Price does not reflect the brilliance. I am totally sold on this product and recommend it 100%. Absolutely the best, a real game changer for me!

Excellent plasters but quite expensive. Realise lots of people have issues with adhesion and removal but there are ways to deal with this. And I've put mine on hairier areas too successfully! The skin needs to be free from any skin oils/cream/grease so preparation with alcohol or micellar is key before plaster application. As for removal, you needn't pull it at all. Fully saturate the plaster with a cloth dripping in water pressed to it, and multiple times, and/or do this in the shower. The plaster will eventually shrivel into a piece of jelly and detach. If there is residual glue, baby oil/vaseline/any grease can be used to remove it along with water to rinse it off. I've done this successfully with glue stuck to hairs because I've had to wear this plaster on my neck near my hairline. It works a charm. If you can tug it and it comes off easily, then great, but if not, you can literally make it fall off with water. You don't need to damage the skin. If left untouched with water in the shower, I can wear this for a week plus. The only reason I change it is because it starts to look unsightly on my neck (yellowing and shrivelling). It has amazing flex so moves with the skin. Even with Vaseline on my skin the plaster managed to stick - amazing! - but wouldn't recommend because it felt loose and moved about on my skin. I find these expensive so will seek cheaper alternatives. They're a decent size and can be cut to size. A frugal tip - any off cuts can be used to patch up and seal off any plaster that have cockled with water at the edges. This makes it last even longer and it works quite well. Overall, woulds recommend if you only need a few plasters. Good luck! 🤗

These are great , stayed completely stuck down for a few days even with showering and no catching the dressing on anything as it’s stuck down flat.

Excellent plasters, will not go back to normal plasters

These are great for grazes that weep. I had a fall and had a grazed knee that applied traditional plasters to and they became saturated quickly and were useless when I took a shower. These plasters really speeded up the healing process and they weren't affected by taking a shower.
