Useful book.
A useful book for those who have little or no experience in working with latex sheet. The schematic patterns have no measurements on them but a skilled dressmaker could easily mark them up from ordinary patterns (for woven or knitted fabrics)

had i had the good fortume to have been able to flick through it ...
very dissapointed by this book.bearing in mind it is very highly priced i had expected it to be chock full of priceless information. instead it is full of common sense that anyone that has ever made any clothing could work out without too much trouble themselves.had i had the good fortume to have been able to flick through it in a book shop i would not have bought it.

Good beginners book
Great book for beginners, showing pictures and diagrams of "how to", book didnt have any patterns in it which was a shame. It has tutorials so you can practise on small latex bits before trying a full size garment.

Making Latex Clothes by Sian -Kate Mooney
This book is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in latex clothing. The book is well illustrated throughout, as the author provides a step by step guide to producing latex garments beginning with materials needed and gluing simple seams, to inserting boning for corset making. No actual patterns are included with the book, but the illustrations show simple clothes being constructed, and there are guidelines on adapting other patterns to produce latex clothes. There is also a comprehensive suppliers section listing British companies that provide materials for all stages of the latex clothes making process. An excellent book.

An excellent book!
Most people who have learned how to create latex clothing have done so through trial and error, underground classes, and cooperative efforts. Finally, there is a book which describes the process!Sian-Kate Mooney has easy to understand examples and simple projects to get even the most basic beginner started. Some of the extremely valuable hints I've learned from my own research are not presented in this book, nor is there a clear description about which adhesives and thinner need to be used (There is an index in the back which says what the adhisives and thinners are called, but there are easier-to-find alternatives out there. Namely, rubber cement and Bestine). So some other research for those items may be necessary for people with no previous introduction to the process.
