Smooth High-Gloss Finish, Easy to Use
I bought for oft-used, toddler Joules Navy Scout & About rain boots, only 6mo old and already worn in NY cold, rain and snow. The navy color of the foot and shaft had an obvious faded look, and around the sole the color looked very ‘eraser faded’ as you can tell from the comparison pictures.1) Directions were easy, though I didn’t clean this pair of boots before using spray (I know.....)2) The results were instantaneous, drying was fast, and a little goes a long way.3) No streaks! I didn’t put ANY effort into any circular or buffing motion, I just wiped the boots willy nilly and the results were great.4) High-gloss brand new finish, without the silly patent leather shine.5) This worked fabulous on the rubber upper on a black pair of Sorel Out n About Boots that made them look amazing, better than when they came out of the box, incidentally I did clean these before using spray.6) No staining or color but smell is strong, not bad or unexpected, just strong.I have no comparisons, but really like this easy-to-use, glossy buffer, and will buy again.

Works incredibly well on high end rain boots.
I bought this spray for two different brands of high end rain boots. My boots are matte black and dark grey. It worked incredibly well. It does have a little bit of shine but not too much. It made my boots look better than when I bought them! I highly recommend. Tip: I sprayed on a clean cloth and then applied. It seemed to work better and apply an even coverage. Eliminated the bloom that was starting to accumulate.

Does what is says
It does what is says. It only shines the shoe. The product does not clean the boot though. I really use my boots to muck around the yard so they were pretty dirty. After quite a bit of use I decided to try the Joules Buffer Up. Direction say to wash dirt off first, I hosed mine down and used a sponge to get the majority of the muck off. Then it says to let them air dry. Then you apply the spray and polish it off similar to shining shoes. Results: They are pretty shiny again, but next time I will really take the time to clean them well before shining them as this stuff doesn't remove any dirt at all.I attached photos of before, after just washing & airs dry, and after the buffer spray.

Works well.
Amazon asked me how this fit... I hope you aren't trying to wear it :D I used this on my Joules Evendon's and it did a good job. I will say that Hunter makes a liquid-filled buffer sponge I like better for the convenience factor - I wish Joules had one. BUT, the stuff works well for cleaning and now that I have that sponge, when the liquid is gone, I'll refill it with this! You don't need much and you certainly don't need to use it every time you wear or even wash your boots so 1 bottle should last you a really long time. Plus, the downside to the sponge is that it forces you to use far more liquid than you need - 1 to 3 squirts would do the trick if you maintain your shoes.

... rain boots and thought that this might be a good cleaning solution
I recently purchased a pair of Joules rain boots and thought that this might be a good cleaning solution.I haven't tried the solution yet, but I am sure that it is going to work just as expected. I'm giving this product 3 stars because when the package arrived the bottle was very poorly packed and half of solution was spilled in the box. What a waste!!!

This stuff is amazing!!
This stuff is amazing !!!!!!! Don't normally write reviews, had too with this item. Purchase because I was unable to wear my black rain boots. They had a grayish discoloration all over them from normal wear. I purchase this last week, followed application directions, "OMG it works". My boots are gorgeous again. Also, applied to other boots, they are refreshed. Saved me tons of money. If you need to restore your rain boots/ boots back to life, get it, you'll be happy you did. Try this product before you purchase new boots. Follow the directions, you cant go wrong and "Less" than $10.00 !!!!!!

One Star
Does not work if boots have begun weeping.

pretty and expensive bottle of rubbing alcohol
This did leave my rubber boots shiny but it smelled exactly like rubbing alcohol and evaporated very quickly, which makes me think alcohol is a major ingredient. From what I have read, alcohol is not something you want to repeatedly apply to your rubber if you want it to stay nice for a long time.
