We discovered as spring arrives early that our 2 hives were empty. Heartbreaking. We bought this and 2 days later found a swarm of bees at one or our hives. Hoping they find it acceptable and move in! But amazing response to this product!

Used this this spring, easy to use but didn't catch any swarms with it, caught 2 swarms nearby so didn't seem to impressed with this bait

Definitely attracted bees not by the hundreds but it will get them into an area and checking it out. However!!!! I accidentally tripped over a tree I had cut and spilled pretty much the entire bottle…. 😅 and that did the exact opposite of what the bottle says… be warned use very little!!!!!!!!

-FIVE STARS- Listen…I am a review hound. So much so if I have the slightest inkling that something is trash or a gimmick I will not purchase. Saw the mixed reviews about this, but idk what for. This product is great. Applied to my Layens swarm trap and the bees came flocking within two weeks after application. I even caught a couple smaller swarms in some five gallon buckets with this. Coming from Mr Skeptical himself. Definitely worth it. Swarm commander who?

Didn’t work for me

I've always purchased another brand. Tight budget this year and Bee Bait Swarm Lure was more affordable. I was fairly liberal (more than two drops) on the frames in the swarm trap. Swarm trap went out the first week of June due to cooler temps at the location (7,000' altitude in foothills). Swarm moved in June 26th. My swarm traps are nothing fancy, a plastic Nuc with three old frames. I had two traps out this year. The trap with the Bee Bait lure was the only trap that caught a swarm. I will be using this product again next year.

I used the Bountiful Bees Bee Bait in my swarm traps last summer and had great success. I kept it simple: just a few drops on a cotton ball, placed inside a small Ziploc bag with the top left slightly open, then stapled it inside the swarm trap. That’s it. Using that setup alone, I caught three swarms in one season. No old comb, no lemongrass oil mix, nothing fancy — just this lure. The scent lasts a long time and seems strong enough to attract scouts without being overpowering. What I like most is how little you need. A tiny amount goes a long way, so one bottle should last multiple seasons if you’re not overdoing it. It’s clean, easy to apply, and much less messy than DIY mixes. If you’re setting swarm traps and want something proven, this bait is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be using it again every swarm season.
