they are organic, that means pesticide free. I love mine!

I think the for something to be "certified organic" we usually mean certification by the USDA and this does not provide that evidence. I didn't like the product. It was very bitter and has a chemical taste to it which I have never encountered before. I threw mine out and would not buy again.
