This is a great, little hat. Nice shape and good (but not complete) sun protection. Travels in a suitcase like a champ. I use it all the time. ~one thing to note, if you are going to be spending many hours in high heat, you may need something lighter made with natural fibers. For me in everyday, in and outs, this is a 5 star.

This is a great hat! I bought this one and a different visor-style hat for a recent trip because both had great reviews. This one was actually my favorite! I folded it into a fourth and packed it in my carry-on (basically folded it in half, pressed it flat, then folded it in half again, so the whole thing was a bit of a triangle shape). I had no idea if folding it like this would ruin it, but it returned to normal shortly after unpacking! I got it wet several times during the trip, and it dried quickly each time. I loved the chin strip, though I did flip it over the top and let it rest behind my neck most of the time because I wasn’t in a windy environment. It fit well and kept the sun off my shoulders. I burned my scalp using the other visor hat early in my trip, and I was so grateful to have this one for much better sun protection. Not to mention, it was so cute and went well with all my swim and beach attire. Highly recommend!

I had a sun hat made out of linen that I used for 2 years and it finally wore out and I decided to get something else and saw this and tried it. I received the hat and it was well packaged however, however there was a stitching flaw right in the front and center of the hat so I sent it back and received a second one that's just fine. Must be workmanship and sometimes that happens but otherwise this is a well-made hat and fits wonderfully, plus I really like the color. It covers the eyes too without coming down too far to obscure your vision. It is a bit heavier than my linen hat which makes sense, but not too heavy. I had to adjust it a bit but it stays on great and the chin strap works nice too it's soft. I recommend this hat, it's cute!

I am not a hat person. I bought this to cover my hair for a hot weather vacation location. I had no idea what size to choose. I am glad I picked the large. My head is average size but my hair is thick. I am not sure about my thoughts on the strap yet. The hat is well made and very well packaged.

I’m actually writing this review after 4 years because I’m here to repurchase one! And my first one is not worn out by any means but I have an outdoor job and this hat got used every single day 9 of 12 months out of the years plus it has traveled to beaches across the us and been to a whole slew of pool days. I’m just purchasing a new one because the color has faded a bit and I’ve sweat a ton in it. This hat is awesome and it folds in a bag and pops right back out.

Lovely sun hat with a tie. Decently priced. Love that it came with a plastic dome to keep its shape in shipping.

Notice all the models wearing the hat don't have it cinched. If you're going to stand there and pose, great; that works. If you're going to go to a windy beach or scooter around on a tropical island, the shape of the hat changes to a droopy flower. It droops where the lanyard holes are. The brim is a mere 3 1/8" and therefore is not super sun coverage. I'd rather have a hat that holds its shape (I pack them in a carry on without folding it and fill the head part with stuff).

I have worn this hat while walking in the sun recently and it is perfect for me in every way and the best straw hat I have owned over the years. I love that it has chin ties to prevent blowing off in our strong winds and I am able to slip it off and on to my back when I need to remove it. The hat feels very comfortable and the wide brim shields my neck at the back as well as my face. I just love this hat and it will get a lot of wear this hot summer, while remaining in place on windy days. I have searched for this type of hat for a couple of years and am so pleased I found it on Amazon. The delivery was very fast and it was packaged in an attractive box. I steamed the folded brim when I received it and it took shape right away. I store it on a hook on the back of a door by the ties.
