I do have to layer a mousse on top to prevent too much poof and frizz at this time of year, but I live in Florida and no single one product stands a chance. However, if I do that, it holds up all day, it smells amazing but not cloying, and it somehow manages to give volume and a unifying look to a mix of straight, wavy, and curly thin strands that never agree on the plan. I also don’t have to apply it soaking wet, which I love, as I hate getting up early to have to blow dry. I can wash the night before and use a spray bottle to re-wet and apply. It sort of forms a caste but not “ramen hair;” it naturally softens on its own after it fully dries. I rarely have to aggressively scrunch out crunch unless I got too heavy handed with application at the roots. This has been a life saver for hormonally bipolar perimenopausal hair that suddenly stopped responding to products I’d used for years.

Great for 4B hair and above. The gel foam gives curl definition on wet and dry hair. It’s better and more cost efficient on wet hair. It’s moisturizing and smells delicious. Easy to use bottle and curls hold without flaking. This has been a game changer on managing my daughter’s hair especially when time is limited. It provides great shine and volume. I was able to do wash and go style on hair that previous wouldn’t form curls on it’s own. Even hubby loves it.

Very good curl cream. I have tried better but the scent on this curl cream is divine. It does the job and creates some texture in my hair. Would buy again

I have more wavy hair but this curl gel works pretty well for me. I use about 2 full pumps for my whole head and once my hair has dried down it maintains my curl. Leaves a slight cast but I fluff it out. It has a nice lemon smell to it which I like.

Not for everyone's hair, but it has a wonderful lemon meringue scent that isn't too powerful. However, if you have loved ones that are sensitive to smells I would not recommend. Keeps my curls from over drying, adds definition. First found in Walgreens

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to for this! I am beyond impressed and will definitely be buying again when I run out. I have fine hair but a LOT of it, and it gets weighed down easily by most products. This didn't weigh my hair down at all. I paired it with the Cake root lift and got so much volume and beautiful curls! There was a little bit of a cast, but only where I accidentally applied too much in one area and it looked great after breaking the cast. Today was my first day using it and I got so many compliments on my hair throughout the day. Highly recommend for anyone who wants more defined curls and volume

I have 2C 3A curls. Lots and lots of fine hair so it looks very thick. I can curl my hair easily and I can wear it straight easily. This might help you to know what type of hair I have when reading this review. When I try and get all curls with regular gel, I end up with stringy hair after lots of effort. For the past couple years, I’ve been working really hard on trying to have all curls all the time and zero frizz. I recently discovered that all that effort is giving me all stringy curls all the time and lots of frizz. So I end up looking like I have a bad 80s perm. This stuff is helping me to accept my crazy hair type, some of it is curly, some of it is coily and some of it is straight. I need to use very little of this product to get soft, frizz free, mostly wavy hair. I’m much happier now that I’ve gave up the struggle for perfect curls and accepting the mix of textures in my hair. This gel is helping me to have beautiful frizz free waves even days after my shampoo. Soft, doesn’t feel dirty/sticky from hair products. The scent is heaven for me. It totally smells like lemon cake. I don’t find it to be very strong and I do have a sensitivity to very strong scents in products. This smell is perfection.

It is a good mouse, but I was not fond of the scent. I thought from reading some reviews that it would smell like Cake, but to my surprise it has a sweet floral scent. I would have given a 5 star rating had it not been for the scent. Other than that issue the product does it's job very well. Leaves hair soft and shiny, no frizz, It lifts and creates beautiful curls and volume that last all day. I'm sure it's a beautiful scent, just not my preference

I have used so many products on the market for my really thick, frizzy, curly hair and this by far is the best brand!! The mousse holds so well doesn’t leave the hair stiff or sticky, very lightweight and natural feeling!! Love this and will buy again! Update!! I’ve bought like 7 more bottles of this stuff!! Highly highly recommend!! Smells so good and works like magic!!

I have frizzy wavy hair and I usually have to use 2 to 4 products to tame it so I came across this on Amazon and I decided to try it and I like that it’s a gel mousse which is cool and I only use this product and nothing else and I cannot believe how soft my hair is. There’s no frizz and it’s tame and I can actually see my curls now so I will definitely buy this again and the fact that you only have to use one product is pretty amazing lol.

I'm torn on this one. I have thick, 2C/3A hair. Tried this for the first time yesterday and was happy with the results, but there's definitely not long term hold happening. By the end of the day, my curls were definitely more relaxed than when I first styled my hair. This morning I did a refresh with water and there was just nothing going on. I ended up having to really wet my hair down and apply more product. I don't usually have to reapply product on day 2, so that's disappointing - this bottle isn't going to last long if I have to use it daily. But, it did give me very soft curls, no crunch, and the scent is lovely, and it's half the price of my usual AG Care mousse gel, so maybe I'll just suck it up and deal with it.

Works OK with my wavy hair however I find it gets frizzy so I don’t recommend if you have thick wavy hair. I also have to use a lot for it to work, but I would recommend for a blowouts or other hairstyles
