V9 is awesome
The V9 works great. I bought it to replace 4 S3s I bought from a friend. It uses a lot of power, but it’s profitable to run. It’s loud, so I wouldn’t recommend keeping it in your bedroom. It also produces a lot of heat, great for people who live up north. The V9 is a great step up from the S3, recommended for someone who is interested in mining on a low budget.

Not worth it. Research them first I didnt..
It mines less than a dollar a day after electricity and puts out a lot of heat and noise. Do not buy these it is not practical or worth the money..

I got this as a learning tool.
I got this Antminer because it was only $104. And also, I got it as an education tool. I wanted to learn how to set up and configure an antminer. Learn how to connect to the different pools, different OC settings, etc.... I have a GPU mining rig on SMOS. But it never hurts to expand ones' knowledge. I know you can watch a few youtube videos. You can watch a few youtube videos on how to ride a bike too. Not the same. I just pretend I spend a $100 for a few CPEs. All good. The thing looks pretty cool too. Excellent conversation piece when friends come over, or just leave on my desk at work. Find out really quick who the fellow miners are.

Read before purchasing!!
Makes no coin. You will spend more money on power than you'll make. Great machine is you want to learn how to administer an asic machine. 4 stars only because the capability of the machine is the oem's fault not the sellers.

Intro level, with potential to earn if BTC price increase
For the value it is decent. When I got this when BTC was at 6,500 USD, return on investment was 0, and still losing on electricity. In other words I was taking a risk that prices would go up. 370 for the miner and power supply. The unit itself is loud, as to be expected. I keep in garage so not a bother. Now that BTC is raising again, it is offsetting the electricity. If it gets to about 10k I will reach my ROI.It is a good intro level if you want to take a risk.

my Stars go to the sellers not the miner in ...
My Stars go to the seller not the miner. The miner in general is junk unless you have solar or cheap power or want to get started with mining coins. I have solar .The Customer service form CryptoCrane is top of the line, so to speak .He lowered the Price a 100 bucks and gave me back a 100 to match lowered Price and i didn't have to ask .... an replaced one with no question asked it had a bad IO board controller ..

Horrible
I’m a novice to say the least in mining. I researched a lot before installation, I even followed along with you tube videos to install. The miner was easy to get set up and running. I was happy when everything appeared to be running smoothly. Temperature was ok, internet good etc. after about 3 hours of running, there was all xxx in status page. I’ve done reset, reboot etc. I don’t know what else to try, I’ve tried all the different suggestions I could find online to no avail. It might be me, but I’m pretty sure three hours of running before catastrophic failure is not acceptable.
