Easy to use
So, I got this mainly because right after I ordered the 50yds I realized there wasn't an applicator... Well, it was well worth it to buy this. It can faster than the 50 yds so I could start using it right away (I will end up using both eventually). The applicator looks like a finger splint that you would get from the drug store without, the foam, helpful when trying to put it over after the twist. My main use is as an extra cushion with the stupid finger splints anyway as my finger is healing due to injury. There was too much pressure and the foam for me was starting to hurt and bother the finger. This stuff definitely only stretches so far and my fingers are small (xl children's gloves) so I knew this size would be fine. I would not want to attempt to put this lovely stretchy goodness on a 6'2 XXL hand as it might cut off some circulation. This the way I am using it is more like a cast prep and that is the way it feels on. My first attempt with putting this on my finger failed for reasons: it was going on an index finger (completely out of commission), I did not size it quite long enough while it would have worked I wanted it a tad longer I also didnt use the finger applicator correctly. I didnt put the tape on, just put the splint on over it. Definitely worth it.

Good value, not available locally
Works great for what it is made for - a long cloth tube that can be cut to the desired length. Reasonable expansion while remaining tight enough to hold things in place.

An excellent product, just like the doctor uses
An excellent product, just like the doctor uses. Due to my wife's finger surgery, we needed to put on this gauze repeatedly over some weeks. It is the same product the doctor and hand therapist were using. The applicator tool, allowing you to use a longer piece and layer it easily worked very well.

Only a small quantity I forgot to read fine print
I ordered "Surgitube" before, I failed to note this has only 10 yards. I ordered the 50 yards package and found out this is not just good for finger injuries but is also superior for applying to wounds on your toes. I had a toe wound that required 10 visits over two months and I forgot about using Surgitube instead of gauze pads and tape. It would have been safer, cleaner, and cheaper to just use Surgitube on toe #2 (not the great toe) naturally you still need to apply triple antibiotic ointment and a small gauze pad before using Surgitube. An applicator is not necessary. But a toe wound needs to have the dressing changed every single day. This product and changing daily can save your fingers and toes. ADDED As far as I can tell this is the smallest size available. This may work for smaller fingers but as directed place the end of the surgitube on the base of the finger and place a small piece of 3M cloth surgical tape (not carried by walmart anymore) available at most pharmacies. Then twist the applicator (if it comes with one or if not twist the surgitube at the tip of the finger or toe and puch it down to the base of the finger. Naturally this is NOT a sterile dressing so you need to place a small size gauze pad with "triple antibiotic ointment" directly on the wound and place a small piece of 3M cloth tape on the gauze pad to hold it in place. Then apply the surgitube over the finger or toe. Remove everything at least once a day and repeat the procedure. To keep the surgitube clean and dry as when hand washing there are "Finger Cots" made of latex that can be rolled over the injured finger. They can be "reused". Generic triple antibiotic ointment is all you need. Note the AMOUNT of surgitube you are ordering. A 50 yard box is NOT going to expire or go to waste. A hollow plastic tube about 5 inches long can serve as an applicator as long as the tube with the surgitube (twice as long as the finger or tube) can fit over the finger or tube. I am currently looking at thinwall PVC or CPVC or other thinwall plastic pipe as an applicator.

This Product as SOLD is only 10 Yards
Be careful this is only 10 yards, pkg shows tubing gauze is a 50 yd. box! Otherwise product does the job, a bit challenging to apply, good luck!

Made it easy to change the dressing after surgery.
Much easier than wrapping layers of gauze between fingers. Got a comfortable padded fit without turning the finger into a sausage!
