This is exactly what I had hoped it would be. Food grade activated charcoal, very very fine powder, worked well for a cleanse. To those that have an issue with packaging: if you look at this powder it immediately goes airborne, and I really don't know of a packaging method that would fix that. Lay out newspaper, put on rubber gloves when handling. I placed the ziploc bag into a Tupperware style container and it seems to work fairly well. You want this powder very fine to take advantage of as much surface area of the particles as possible for maximum efficacy.

A very good and consistent particle size, though it would be good to know the range of particle size. One answered question indicated that the maximum particle size was about 320 microns. The packaging was actually triple-bagged which survived the shipping well. However, the inner most bag (the one that actually contained the Activated Charcoal Powder) would not reseal after the first opening (a Hefty zip-lock resealable bag). I suspect that the particles get into the tongue-and-groove of the seal which causes this issue. This was not a problem for me as I carefully transferred the material from the original bag into a one of my own zip-lock bags. Great product.

Charcoal flavor is nasty no matter how you spin it so I don't flavor is something we should be rating. The charcoal is ground super fine and easy to blend. It's also easy to stain so be very careful. I put some in a drink and use it for face masks as well and it's good for all things it can be used for. Packaging was good but I put mine in a mason jar because it's still messy to reopen the bag over and over.

The package seemed more robost than it turned out to be and I'm not sure if it's recyclable. Inside of the golden bag, is a plastic bag with the charcoal in it tied up.It's really messy too! Be careful. I always think I can handle it, but it's messy lol and "sticks" to things because it's so small and fine and compacted. It's like handling ash, spreads and doesn't get cleaned up by water easily. .I am using it for brushing my teeth and it did help I think, but doesn't help to grind off the deep yellow parts of my teeth. This is only after one use and I think that's my soft toothbrushes fault.I love the way it makes me look creepy and dark when I smile cause my teeth are black. Grrrrr.Good price! ~14 per the lb when I got it.

This activities charcoal is great. Very fine and it is packaged very well. I use it in face masks, drawing salve and soap. My skin is so soft from using it in masks and my face soap. My cat had a puncture wound and I used the salve to draw out the infection and it did a beautiful job! I will be buying this again!

I had another product that was much courser. I put my toothbrush under water to get it soaking wet then put in in the charcoal powder. It is so fine, when I put it in my mouth I often chock as the powder comes off the brush, which did not happen with the courser product. The other product is no longer available. I bought this because it was made of coconut and organic.

Good product. Best thing to do for teeth is get a small condiment cup and scoop some into it. Put toothpaste on toothbrush then did the top of toothpaste in it. That way you don't contaminate the jar and it's easier.

I bought this to make bath bombs with. I like that you don’t have to add much to get a black bath bomb. With some polysorbate 80 it does not stain the tub and wipes off super easy. Activated charcoal makes a great detox bath.
