Cuprinol UV Guard Decking Oil Natural 5L

Ive been using this cuprinol UV guard decking oil for a couple of years. Initially i wasnt convinced it was very long lasting but now the coating has built up my decking is like the deck of a yacht. Water just beads off every time it rains. I just give it a good scrub every spring and add 1 or 2 more coats. Decking looks great.

Don’t know what I did wrong but it’s got patches of white could anyone enlighten me or will it take more when dried.

First time I have had decking which was installed by previous owner. I pressure washed and gave it 2 coats, the wood appears to be almost back to its normal natural wood colour. 'Other half' pleased with result.

Brilliant stuff.Took my daughter and I ages because we’ve just had a new fence put up and I thought this would add a little bit more protection as we live on the top of a hill,more exposed.arrived next day,really well packaged and no dents in the can.Goes on a milky white and quite runny,but you can see which bits you’ve painted.A 5 litre can almost covered the fence but to be safe,I went and ordered another one.Same seller and again,arrived next day.Highly recommend.

So far I have almost managed one coat of my deck and I am pleased with how it goes on and since that first coat it has rained non stop and I can see water pooling on the surface really effectively so I know that even without the 2nd coat it is already protecting the wood well! Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the calculator on the website said I should only need 2 and a bit cans for my large deck to provide 2 coats and I have used 2 full cans already (applying with a pad not a spray) and not even completed the deck with one coat. I will therefore need 4 cans (although with some left over I am sure). Fingers crossed it gives me a couple of years good protection because 4 cans is (even at this best price around) is over £90. Also to note is that the colour change from bare wood to after the oil is dry is very minimal. Just a slight yellow or brightness to it now which I like.
