Great kits for all ages!!
I ordered this kit for my son who likes to do crafts and sell them at craft fairs. In this kit you get 12 disassembled bird houses. You get 3 styles and 4 of each Style. Each birdhouse was individually packaged with instructions. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. You do not need hammers or nails to assemble these birdhouses. They simply locked together and we hot glued them to make them more secure. I've attached an up-close photo of an assembled but unless painted birdhouse from this kit.We used acrylic paint and then sprayed it with clear coat. As you can see from the attached photos they can be decorated in a variety of ways and designs. Paint and brushes do not come in this kit.The wood is a thin material so I would not suggest it getting wet. However I have hung them outside on my front patio as well as in trees without them falling apart. Birds have used them to my son's great pleasure.

Great craft project for kids
I got these for my cub scout den. They are very economical!! They are very easy to put together, but I recommend gluing them to keep them together. We painted them before hand and spent the den meeting decorating them with natural material, such as moss, acorns, bark and grasses. They turned out great. They do not hold up outside however. The wood warps and the layers start to separate. We used them for table decorations at a banquet.

Cute project for my kiddos
Cute buy! Great for my kids to paint. Realized after purchase came that I couldn't use nails to build. That was my plan. I used glue. I wasn't sure how good it was going to work. Little tabs you use to connect peices didn't look like they touched completely how I needed them to. After it dried over night. Houses were dried and were staying together just fine. Time will tell completely how well once my little ones get there hands on to paint. They will not handle with care lol! The houses were a little smaller then I hoped. Got for kids to make mother day gifts for all mommies in our clan. I had hoped that birdie would really be able to use them when the giftee goes and hangs. I do think a smaller bird. Maybe sparrow could fit in hole of door. But not much bigger. Still totally cute for 10, 6, 3, & 2 yr old kiddies to give to moms, gmas, aunts, and ggmas for gifts. Plenty of space for them to get artistic and show there art work on. Def and bang for my buck!!

These birdhouses were great
These bird houses were nice and sturdy material not flimsy wood and easy to assemble in all three styles. I used the hot glue gun for longevity but I think would have been fine without and easy to paint with Acrylics. A real winner with my preschool class.

Hole too small for real birds
I thought I'd take photos of the directions and the hole so you can compare and see if this is really what you were looking for. Thankfully I'm a crafter and I made the hole the proper size for birds. This is a good craft for like VBS or any other summer group you may have going on. But like I said, not for real birds. I also added the missing post that goes on the front by the hole. Again, cause I'm a crafter I was able to do this. If you want to invest some extra time you can also make these real bird friendly. And I think for being a crafter this was a very good value. But for the average person no. Any attempts at cutting the hole larger could end up in breaking the wood if you don't know what you are doing. And for the post I just used my soldering iron to burn through a small hole. Then used waterproof glue on the post and all the parts that go together to make sure the whole birdhouse stays together. I also used my Behr porch paint so they are all weather proof now.

Easy to put together
Was a little apprehensive to order based on the reviews. Ordered to paint as a craft for a kids birthday party and they were great. The wood is really light so I don’t know how effective it would actually be in housing birds, but the houses were easy enough to assemble, had all the pieces. Great value for the price and was a big hit with the kids.

Awesome Product!
It's a little hard to put together for a kiddo. As an adult, easy, just use common sense. Overall, my daughter loved this. I mailed the extra's to her friends from school so they could do a "DIY Birdhouse Challenge." Really cute little birdhouses and fun to decorate! Good project to do with the kiddos!

Really flimsy with hole not big enough for birds
So many things about this item…1. It’s really flimsy. We used a hot glue gun to (hopefully) hold it all together, but my fingers are crossed and this is not what we were expecting2. After noticing no birds were nesting here i discovered that the pre-drilled hole is too small. We drilled it out larger, but it looks terrible. Thankfully the birds won’t be as discerning.3. There is no perch post.4. The description showed several different shapes, but we got all the same shape.5. Intend to use these as a fun activity for a birthday party, but it’s going to require a lot of work on my part to get them to a point that they will be usable.
