Lily Sugar 'N Cream The Original Solid Yarn, 2.5oz, Medium 4 Gauge, 100% Cotton - Purple - Machine Wash & Dry

I have not used this cotton yarn yet. I like the color purple. It will be useful when I am ready to use.

Sugar’n Cream has been my “go to” cotton yarn for home / misc projects, for years. Even for a blanket I’m making for myself. Sure.. there’re cotton yarns that are less expensive, but being made in the USA with USA grown cotton is a HUGE plus in my book, but it’s also just a “side” benefit - meaning: if the yarn wasn’t a good quality, it’s manufacture wouldn’t be enough to sway me - happily that’s not the case. I’ve been, and will continue to be, a loyal customer of this brand of yarns.

I knit handmade dish cloths (for a Southerner they are dish rags) and I have used this purple and a yellow to make LSU colored dish cloths to give as gifts and to sell. They really look great!!

For our granddaughter

I used this yarn for dish cloths and face clothes. Sturdy yard, the color doesn't run. Soft for the face and strong for washing dishes.

Nice shade of purple. Will make a small sweet dish cloth gift for my friend.

We bought this for a Halloween crochet coaster project! It’s a deep purple color and easy to use with hook size 4 and above (we have used it with smaller hook sizes but it’s not as smooth and fast going). This brand can vary sometimes, so you may get a soft skein one time and a more stiff one next time. Still worth purchasing because it’s the most affordable cotton option we have found.

I didn't buy this me for me, I bought it for someone for a pen pal gift who loved knitting. She was very happy with the color and the gift as she was making a sweater for a family member and needed more.

I like this cotton although I do find the darker the colours the 'stiffer' they are to work with. Purple isn't an easy colour to get along with but I mixed it up with some pink or white and it turned out nice but take your time using it and try not to be tight as cotton can fight back. Okay it's a bit pricey and the balls are smaller than what we're used to but to make wash cloths or scrubbies a little can go a long way and if your doing it for pleasure I'm not going to argue.
