OOK French Cleat, Picture and Mirror Hanger with Hardware, 100lb, Aluminum, 533208

This is such a terrific product and it is thoughtfully and well made. I used it to hang a wooden bookcase (all by myself) above my printer. I love the press-in level on the wall-mounted half of the cleat. Very thoughtful and makes it super easy to line it up properly. My usage was not typical. But on the other hand, it shows you just how amazingly useful a French cleat can be! In the photo you can see how I had to use tiny bolts and washers (purchased separately) to mount the other half of the cleat to the bookcase (which is actually made of wood so it only weighed 21 lbs; ; the backing is 1/4" plywood). I may paint these white or not if they're eventually covered up. Life is short. The thing that is so neat about the French cleat is that once you've mounted both halves of the cleat to the wall and to your item, there is NO fiddly lining things up. You just get the object above the wall cleat and slide it down until it settles into the groove. Love that! I am SO glad that I found this French cleat and I feel that this company does an exceptional job of manufacturing it. The instructions are spare and mostly visual, but they are clear and adequate to the task.

It holds so well that I can hang on them total weight. I'm 5ft 7in and weigh 150 lbs. Easy to install . I highly recommend it to everyone.

This was so easy to install and easiest picture hanging experience ever. All hardware was included and especially love the level piece that slides in to help make sure the wall piece is installed level. Very durable and best way to hang pictures, especially heavy ones.

I had a really heavy particle board headboard that is like a bookshelf with multiple levels to it for my charging station and water, etc. Because I use a box spring, it felt like the headboard was too short and I was covering the shelves when I was sleeping. I knew I had to remove it from the frame and hang it on the wall about a foot higher... but I was scared of how to do this without ruining the headboard- the backing that faces the wall is just like strong cardboard so I can't just drill through it. I used this French cleat hardware and screwed directly into the top panel of the headboard- the small 1in side that touches the wall. I then found my wall's studs and hung the second French cleat to the wall securely. It was easier than hanging up a picture once the pieces were secured to the item/wall! I simply hung up the headboard on the ledge created by the French cleat. It's been about 5 months and there has been no issue or movement. 100% secure! Unfortunately because it's near impossible to find real wood furniture nowadays, the headboard is starting to come apart from ~gravity~ since it can only be held to the wall by the top panel. At no fault of this hardware, just basic physics lol Once I get a new headboard set up, I'll be keeping this hardware for future use of pretty much anything. I'm very very happy with it!

This was great and exactly what I needed. I thrifted a vintage mirror that’s very heavy, Over 70lbs and the mirror had a bracket on the back of it. I did some research and came across this product. It was so easy to install; I used my leveler drilled in my screws which was very fast. I did add a toggle bolt because I was nervous the mirror’s weight capacity would affect the wall. It’s still holding up to this days years later. I took the mirror down for paint jobs and put it back on easily. I’m very happy with this product and I would purchase again for any heavy hanging jobs.

This worked perfect for my heavy full length IKEA mirror. The sheetrock in my rental is so flippin thin and of course the stud is in the middle of the wall and the holes to mount the mirror are on the sides of the mirror . . . . so I googled "how do I hang a heavy mirror without it falling out of the sheetrock" and poof, cleat system popped up. I got the 12 inch but probably could have done the 18". I gave it 4 stars because the package instructions and website video are not great but there were some YouTube videos from others that were helpful. And the little green bubble level would not stay in the slot but I was able to sit it on top of the wall cleat and it stayed. Recently divorced and in my own place and decided "I can do this, I don't need help", this was surprisingly easy.

I would say it’s pretty good stability, my wall was somewhat halo and it still is holding onto my heavy mirror. Installation was easy as well

This French Cleat was actually better than I thought it would be. I normally make my own cleats out of wood, but this one is much thinner and better for a sleeker profile. When putting in, make sure they are placed correctly so that when they are placed on the wall it will fit

We purchased this to hang a rather heavy large-format painting in our foyer. It was easy to install, set up and hang the art. Alignment was not an issue at all. Very pleased!
