This cleat is well made, easy to use, and really secures your object to the wall.
This is such a terrific product and it is thoughtfully and well made. I used it to hang a wooden bookcase (all by myself) above my printer. I love the press-in level on the wall-mounted half of the cleat. Very thoughtful and makes it super easy to line it up properly. My usage was not typical. But on the other hand, it shows you just how amazingly useful a French cleat can be!In the photo you can see how I had to use tiny bolts and washers (purchased separately) to mount the other half of the cleat to the bookcase (which is actually made of wood so it only weighed 21 lbs; ; the backing is 1/4" plywood). I may paint these white or not if they're eventually covered up. Life is short. The thing that is so neat about the French cleat is that once you've mounted both halves of the cleat to the wall and to your item, there is NO fiddly lining things up. You just get the object above the wall cleat and slide it down until it settles into the groove. Love that!I am SO glad that I found this French cleat and I feel that this company does an exceptional job of manufacturing it. The instructions are spare and mostly visual, but they are clear and adequate to the task.

Very strong (BYO Level)
Worked perfectly. I needed to hang a 20lb mirror on my wall where I knew I didn’t have a stud, so I sized up a bit and got the 12 inch cleat. Very solid, that mirror isn’t going anywhere and it’s very stable. Just be certain you hang it level (I’d make sure you have your own level, the one included isn’t very useful). Fairly straightforward to mount and I’d say it’s worth what it costs.

Perfect to hang larger and heavier items.
My husband made me an amazing key rack that is on the larger size and very heavy. I purchased this cleat to make sure it would hold the weight of the key rack. It works brilliantly! Easy to mount on wall and attach to the frame too. I would definitely buy again.

Great! Get the 18” if you want to hit 2 studs!!
Easy to install! Hanging 50lb mirror NO PROBLEM! Secure, safe!I used a washer around the lag screw they give to mount the wall mount, because 2 screws in the stud secured it properly. To much length between studs for me to have two studs. So where that little level goes I used a washer around the screw there, and angled a screw to the stud from a regular hole. Nice secure hold.

Good but larger gap than expected
Used it to quickly and easily hang a cabinet. The 18” cleat ensured I would get two studs. It’s hung, looks good and is not going anywhere. Only negative is that it leaves a larger than expected gap at the top - 1/2”. So now I may want to add trim.

Strong and Easy to use
Love the French cleats! These are a o much better than the cheap 'sawtooth' hangers particularly if the wall hanging has any weight at all. And with minimal skills this is easily installed level to the wall and to the wall hanging. I've tried other brands of Frenvh c seats but this design seats into itself better and holds more securely.

Great
Worked great. I don’t know how heavy my mirror is but it’s a BEAST. I imagine it was less than 100 pounds because I can hold it but it is very very heavy. It’s only been a week or so since i mounted it but it hasn’t fallen off the wall yet lol. So far so good! Easy to install.

Perfect Heavy Duty Hanging Solution
There once was a guy named Chad. He tried to hang heavy things on the wall with a couple of screws. This could work sometimes. If he hit a stud it was pretty sturdy, but a stud just wasn't always where he wanted to hang his heavy things. He used wall anchors and they work ok, but they aren't always the easiest to hang perfectly level, or the perfect distance apart. One time Chad was hanging a 50 pound mirror and things just didn't line up. When Chad let go of the mirror, if fell on his foot. Chad, shocked as to what was happening, fell back and into his TV. The tv tipped over and knocked the fish bowl off of the table. Thankfully Chad was able to rescue his award winning piano playing goldfish before it was too late, but things were close. Don't be like Chad, when trying to hang heavy things on the wall just use this french cleat. It is easy to get level and holds things securely to the wall, even 50 pound mirrors.*Disclaimer - None of this actually happened to Chad. No toes, TVs or award winning piano playing goldfish have ever been harmed in hanging of Chad's 50 pound mirrors because Chad always uses these french cleat hangers. Those mirrors are solidly on the wall.
