Great product, easy connection, no issues and internet speed nearly the same as connected to the internet modem.

wow the signal strength is amazing and the wifi connectivity is amazing and security is amazing and ease of setup is amazing.

I had high hopes for this but turned out to be a massive let down.I had spoken to Vodafone and had the PPPOE username and password ready to switch from my VF router to this. Went through the network configuration but wouldnt connect to the internet. Turns out i also need to specify a VLAN (911 if on cityfibre FTTP). But this does not have a location to enter a custom VLAN.Switched to a TP-Link AXE5400 the next day, used the username, password and the VLAN ID and all is working perfectly.

My router is on the ground floor and the computer up two floors higher. I was using my desktop PC's internal WiFi and getting about 50Mb/s.The MSI AX1800 immediately increased this to ~290Mb/s with the antenna extended or about half that with the antenna folded away.Windows 11 did not automatically recognise the MSI adapter, so I had to go to the MSI website to download the driver. That wasn't a problem for me, but could be an issue if you don't currently have an internet connection!

One of the many things I didn't realise when I recently swapped broadband suppliers is that the new wifi security protocol is not particularly compatible with 'older' PCs. Thanks to the help of a well-known AI tool, I learned that this adapter might be a very good work-around for my particular PC set-up. It is, in fact, excellent; increasing my download speeds by approx. 5 times (or, to put it another way, back to what they should be).It does need a few tweaks in the PC settings in order to get the most of it, but the well-known AI tool was able to help with that too. One very trivial note... it doesn't always 'wake-up' once the computer has been in sleep mode, but it's easy enough to kick-start it again, and it only takes a few seconds to find the signal again.

This was purchased as the details stated its linux compatible, which technically it is but.. the drivers are a nightmare. They are unreliable and hard to install on some things, (and on the Pi forget it). If you can get it working then it is perfectly servicable but to me a little overpriced.

Amazing

AXE6600 (a lot of the positive reviews are for other things in this listing)This router looks and feels premium, even the packaging felt high-end. Sadly that's where that feeling ended. Signal strength is okay, and when it works it's plenty fast. 6ghz signal strength drops quickly, even one room over, but that's a tech limitation and not a router specific issue.Managing this router, even on a PC, is an absolute joke. First several firmware updates had to be applied, slowly and one at a time. Fair enough, guess they improved the firmware .. (haha no). Then once that's done, every change you make in the menus takes 2 minutes to apply, during which you're just looking at a spinny wheel. As it's applying these changes, about half the time your network goes down for some reason.After the excruciatingly slow setup (if you made any changes, which you should if you spent this much on a router), it would randomly drop networks. Either 2.4ghz, 5 or 6, but usually just all of them. When that happens, you can't even access the router through a PLUGGED IN ETHERNET CABLE. For some unfathomable reason you need to be connected wirelessly to get into the settings.IoT devices like our cameras, alexas and lightbulbs would randomly lose connection every now and then, needing to be manually reconnected. And as said before, all networks would just disappear. A reset would fix it for a few hours.Returned and definitely don't recommend. Replaced it with a (much cheaper!) Acer Predator WD6, which has been excellent. Same speeds, same signal strength and actually functional firmware.
