If you have been racing for a while or if you have never heard of slot car racing, either way this book will get you pretty good information on this amazing hobby-sport! Not your average slot car book either...big format 11 by 8, almost 300 pages, tons of slot car pictures in different scales, interviews with top slot car gurus...I found interesting that various aspects of slot car racing were covered...the history, what caused the Rise and Fall of the sport and how it is still going strong today. The chapters covering prepping, testing and the action during the racing day were very interesting as well. Even covered Digital slot car racing by describing his digital racing experiences...There are interviews with 1960's professional slot car champion John Cukras, Philippe de Lespinnay...plus slot.it, scalextric, carrera, fly...this is the type of book that you keep coming back to...tons of info, Highly Recommended!

Book goes into the history of slot car racing, and goes into racing on todays homeset tracks. It is interesting for someone that was there in the 60s, and for someone who wants to get into it. I think it explains how slot car racing can be enjoyed as a toy, all the way to a very serious hobby, to a business opportunity or career.
