Cat loves it
My almost 12y/o cat w/CKD 2nd stage eats this all the time. She loves it. I watched a U-tube for cats w/CKD. The vet said 4 cats w/early stage kidney disease, feed them a low phosphorus food & I'm so happy 2 find this. B/c these kidney diet foods R so very expensive. It's bad enough, she has 2 visit the vet every 4 mths & have blood tests to watch her kidney values. Monitoring Ur cats disease in early stage is extremely important & regulating the diet is everything.

A kidney diet that our cat will eat!
Our 18 year old cat has kidney disease and won't eat her prescribed kidney diet food. With the Weruva Low Phos she gobbles it down. We feel good about caring for her kidneys and our cat gets to love the joys of life.

No fish in this! All gel broth.
I purchased this for my wonderful cat who the vet said had the start of kidney problems. But, by the time this food came, my cat's illness became so bad he needed to die. But, after my heart crashed and time, I realized that I again needed cat loving in my life. So, I finally opened a can of this food for a taste test for my 2.5 year old kitty who can be a picky eater. I was shocked to see nothing but gel ... even after adding a little water to make the gel into a gravy, there weren't any fish-related pieces of food!!! None!!! Fish is listed as an ingredient on the can. So beware ... yes, it is a cheap price. Cheap for a good reason! I may add some tuna bits to gel with next serving.

Good phosphorus and protein profile for an OTC cat food
My 17 year old cat loves this food. It has the best low phosphorus and protein profile I can find in OTC food.

Petmate Kitty Kaps Pet Food Can Topper Fits 3oz cans
Petmate Kitty Kaps Pet Food Can Topper fits the 3 oz cans. The 3 other lid brands that I had in my drawer did not….. CKD cat initially loved on day one then proceeded to beg for the canned food other cats get. 2 of 3 of my other cats will eat it but prefer their normal brand. Looks and smells delicious to me. 🤷🏻♀️

Can will eat it. K/D food is awful
My kitty had borderline labs at the shelter indicating he may have early or new onset kidney disease. They have two food choices at the shelter: what every gets and k/d Rx diet so they had him on k/d. He wouldn’t eat his Rx diet at home and I think he was actually surviving on a flavored Hydra packet and small nibbles of k/d. I tried this low phosphorus food and he is eating much better. If your kitty has a advanced kidney disease you need an actual Rx diet and this food could be unsafe. I am trying it for my cat because 1) he’s borderline and 2) he gets another round of labs in 6 weeks; if his kidneys are the same or better he’ll continue in this food.
