Ordered this as well as the K&N PCV system oil separator for my 2018 5.3L Silverado, 55k miles from Amazon on 8/29/2025. Installed both on 9/2/2025.They have been in service for one year and 8K miles now and both still perform flawlessly. I love always running on all 8 cylinders all the time. I paid for 8 cylinders, not 4, so now I’m getting the benefit of the truck running as it should. It runs so much smoother I’ve gotten so used to it I sometimes forget it’s there. Mileage went from 18-19 to about 16-17 mpg but its well worth it compared to what a top end overhaul would cost. After all, it’s firing all 8 cylinders all the time instead of only 4 some of the time. Explains the mileage drop perfectly. I can still drive the 30 miles to work and back on less gas than I use to mow my 3/4 acre lawn.The oil separator is a must have for any engine with a GDI fuel injection system.It has trapped about 18 ounces of water contaminated oil from being sucked into the intake manifold. That keeps the intake valves, piston tops and combustion chambers from getting carboned up and the associated performance drop.I used Berrymans Intake Valve and Combustion Chamber Cleaner right before I installed the Max Cylinder and the K&N Oil Separator to establish a clean baseline to evaluate these products. I had been using the cleaner about every 6 months before I installed these items and so far haven’t had to clean the intake for a year with no sign of degraded performance.I purposely waited a year to evaluate these items and they passed with flying colors.I highly recommend both of them. There are similar products that are cheaper but these measure up. Well worth the slightly higher price.

Love this thing, I bought it for my wife’s 2016 Chevy Tahoe and it’s been great!! As soon as it arrived I installed it and we took a trip from Oklahoma to Louisiana and then to Texas and back home. We averaged between 20-23mpg while on the trip and it ran great, no shifting trouble or anything. As far as my mpg’s before I installed it, it was about the same, maybe a little better(1mpg if that) but I like staying in v8 mode. So far it’s been great. It’s very easy to install, just plug it in and your set, and it hasn’t affected my battery at all. I think it’s a really good value and I’ve recommended it to several people.

2012 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3l. I bought this AFM/DFM Disabler 2 week ago and works fantastic just plug it in and start vehicle and light comes on and drive, stays in all 8 cylinders all the time, no issues when you turn vehicle off light goes off so no battery drain whatsoever no worries leave it plugged in, as far gas milage that has not changed at all, as far as oil consumption it has improved I am very impressed engine just runs smoother. This will save everyone money down the road. Highly recommend this product only.

2015 5.3L w/60k. No more shuttering or as I call it “hiccups” upon lifting and getting back on the accelerator (normal driving). So much smoother staying in V8 mode. Would like to do a full delete but $$$$. I figure this will buy me some time. Aftermarket exhaust sounds great all the time now as well. A must have for anyone with a GM & AFM/DOD. Made in USA is a huge plus!!! Worth the money…
