CURLSMITH Fragrance-Free Strong Hold Styling Gel (8 oz)

Excellent product! I have asthma and must avoid all fragrances, and this completely fragrance-free. It’s clear and very thick; I often put some water on my hands to thin it out a bit before spreading through my hair. Great hold for curls and waves. Left alone it dries a little stiff and crispy, but if I either scrunch it while drying or even after it dries to break up the crispiness it still holds well and keeps curls/waves defined and looking very natural, and with no wet look. Next day I can “re-activate” the gel and my hair often looks even better on day 2. Does not leave any flaking residue. I don’r recall ever liking ANY gel better than this one.

Love this gel. I have wavy and curly hair and I love curlsmith products but not the fragrance. This gel has no scent and it works well to define my curls and help hold and blend the wavy sections

Strong hold curl gel that gave the crunch i was used to years ago. Great when you need your curls to last.

This is hands down the best styler I’ve ever used on my 3a fine curls. My curls are soft and bouncy and perfectly defined without being crunchy or weighed down. I love love love that it’s fragrance free. If you need volume and definition without the weight, this is it!

I don't llke to write a bad review for any seller and give 1 star. I have used Curlsmiths Shine Jelly for years. it was fabulous for my hair. helped define curls, hair was still soft and shiny. They discontinued that product, this is supposed to a replacement. It is heavy, sticky and does absolutely nothing for my hair. It is so heavy and sticky, I lose a lot of hairs running a comb through it. Too bad, haven't found anything to take the place of shine jelly, so won't be buying from Curlsmith anymore. The other products either have a fragrance or very heavy my hair and sticky.

Update: Curl enhancer is better. Didn’t like the feel of this one or look of the end result. Washed it out as soon as I could. Previous review: Trying it right now. So far it’s holding the style. My hair has changed a lot during two decades and I couldn’t style my hair as I liked since then. Unable to find the right product. Four stars for “let’s see how this does 2morow on my 2b hair with the Miami humidity”. I’m hopeful.

Extremely strong hold. No scent which I love but, man, this stuff is for real in terms of extreme. A bit too much for me so I’ll have this stuff in the closet forever.

One of my top2 gels in terms of fabulous and long-lasting hold and ease of scrunching out the cast. It is deceptive when you squirt some in your hand, or at least I found it deceptive and put A LOT on my hair that first time. I've since realized to add a small amount of water to my hands and rub my hands (with the gel already on a palm) to thin it out a bit so I get the fabulous hold without adding way more gel than necessary. Autobuy for me.

Ottimo. Ne basta pochissimo altrimenti i capelli si incollano. Ho i capelli che arrivano a metà del braccio come lunghezza ed applico un quantitativo di prodotto paragonabile ad una nocciola. Dura tantissimo. La prima volta ne ho messo troppo e i capelli di sono “pietrificati”.

This is the best strong hold gel I have found. Be aware that it is thick and sticky. I make sure my hair is sufficiently wet and my hands are wet when I apply it. I brush it thru and my hair curls and it gives me a perfect cast. I do not scrunch it out. I leave it as it is and sleep on it. The next morning, my hair looks great! I still have a little cast in it, but I can get 3 to 4 days wear out of it, with my hair curly and not frizzy. I seldom have to refresh it. I just run my fingers thru it and dry scrunch it. I am SO glad I have found this gel!!!!
