works first time with matter on home assistant. Will be buying more. Have tested on kettle for last few months and doesn't get hot under such a heavy load.

The Meross Matter Smart Plug Mini has been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. It was super easy to set up using Apple Home, and it connected flawlessly thanks to Matter support—no extra apps or hassle. The compact size is a big plus—it doesn’t block the second outlet, and it fits neatly behind furniture. The real standout feature is the energy monitoring. I can finally see how much power my devices are using in real time, which has helped me make smarter energy choices. I would have returned these plugs and maybe give a more generous rating but my return window closed. The problem is they just don’t work! I’m very good with tech but I have not been able to make these work, except for one, for about a minute. Setup is much too complex for this kind of product. I’ve been messing about in my router settings because they don’t work on modern protocols, and even after that they just don’t work. Nothing useful is this hard to set up. I assure you I followed the instructions, and the videos, and messed with my router just to make them work. They don’t work. Good idea, it just doesn’t work. I wish they did! Even if they did work you require a fairly confident knowledge of IT ‘stuff’. It was a frustrating and miserable experience trying to make these plugs work. I spent a lot of time with them. They don’t work for an above average user so more modest tech people will have significant issues. There is no way my Mum could set these up, for example. This technology needs significantly refined software and a clear, step by step instruction manual. I should not need to change settings in my router just because the produce can’t cope with the modern world. Note they don’t tell you that when you buy them! There is a lot wrong with these plugs and I hope this feedback is representative of an average consumer… even though I’m way above average when it comes to technology. Please try a lot harder, otherwise you are just selling landfill

Brilliant smart plugs that work well with Apple Home. Ignore the reviews that say they don’t work - they do. Some people fail to grasp simple setups! Open Home, press + - add socket, Scan QR or type code, plug in and that’s it! Simples.

These are my 4th or 5th set of Meross plugs, but they refused to connect to my wifi. I tried disconnecting the 5Ghz channels, rebooting phone and router but with no success. I would have contacted Meross but there is no UK support service, however I did contact my broadband supplier EE who conducted several test and found no issues. As a final test I ordered a pair of Tapo P100 plugs which connected first time in less than 30 seconds. Unfortunately when I went to to return the Meross plugs I had missed the return date by 2 days! Whilst I am already invested in Meross plugs I will start the process of swapping them out for Tapo plugs which appear more reliable not to mention Tapo also have a UK customer service contact number although I haven't needed to contact them yet. I felt very bad about leaving a negative review, so am compelled to provide an update - after another few weeks I tried to connect the plugs again and to my surprise they just connected first time without any issue! I'm not sure what if anything has changed, but just very happy they are all now working. Upgrading my review to 4 stars.

Apprehensive getting these because of some of the reviews saying fiddly to connect. I wasn’t sure if it was because they were ‘matter’ enabled’. I would advise to do the following in the following order. Add to your meross app first. Then simply ask Alexa to discover new devices. I added them to Alexa first and hit a headache. Instructions should be better. When up and running I can say meross has never let me down. By far one of the best WiFi plug manufactures out there. They are great value for money and well made. Not too bulky and perfect. Solved what I wanted them for!
