Creami Scoop & Swirl 13-in-1 Ice Cream and Soft Serve Maker, NC701

I picked up the Ninja CREAMi Scoop and Swirl Ice Cream Maker NC701 on a bit of a whim for our family. We deal with multiple food allergies, so buying store ice cream that works for everyone is nearly impossible. The ability to fully control ingredients like dairy-free milk, low sugar options, or nut-free recipes is what pushed me to try it. This is the more deluxe version with both scoop and soft serve capability, and it definitely feels like a premium kitchen appliance. From a build quality and appearance standpoint, it is substantial. This is not a small countertop gadget. It is tall, fairly heavy, and takes up serious space. It will not fit under most standard upper cabinets, so plan accordingly. We ended up buying a separate baker’s rack to house this and our Ninja Slushi machine. The included 2-in-1 pints, lids, paddle, and swirl press feel sturdy and are dishwasher safe, which helps with usability and cleanup. Using the machine is not trivial at first. There is a learning curve. The process starts by preparing your recipe directly in the clear pint containers. The most important detail is making sure the containers freeze completely level. Timing needs to be correct for adequate freezing. If the mixture freezes at an angle, the chopping and blending mechanism will struggle to operate or process correctly. After freezing for about 24 hours, you install the blade lid, lock the container into the machine, and select one of the 13 programs. There are dedicated soft serve modes, fruit whip, frozen yogurt, custard, and more. We typically use coconut or oat milk, which freezes harder than traditional dairy. Because of that, we often have to run the blend cycle multiple times to achieve a smooth, soft-serve consistency. That is one of the nuances you only learn by doing. Once the texture is right, you move the container to the soft serve side, install the swirl press, and dispense into a cone or bowl. It is a multi-step workflow, and good results depend on understanding how each phase works. If something is off, it usually comes down to leveling in the freezer, recipe ratios, or needing an extra spin. Performance is impressive once dialed in. The Creamify technology really does transform a solid frozen block into a creamy texture. The ability to customize mix-ins and tailor recipes for dietary needs adds real value. However, it is loud. Very loud. During the chopping and spinning phase, the noise level is intense. It is not something you want running constantly, and it could easily be disruptive and hurt ears in a small kitchen. Another small limitation is the dispensing phase. When using the soft serve function, it does not fully clear the entire pint. There is usually a noticeable amount left in the bottom. It is easy enough to scoop out with a spoon, but it feels like an area that could be improved in future designs. In terms of value, this is clearly a luxury appliance. It is not essential, and it is not small. But if you have dietary restrictions, want full control over ingredients, or enjoy experimenting with frozen desserts, it offers strong performance and flexibility. It does not replace a commercial soft serve machine, but for home use, it delivers impressive results. Overall, I recommend the Ninja CREAMi Scoop and Swirl if you are willing to learn the process and have the space for it. It’s pretty expensive, but I believe it adds substantial value for families with allergies or if you just love ice cream. It takes patience at first, and there are nuances to master, but once you understand how it works, it produces high-quality frozen treats tailored exactly to your needs.

This produces beautiful ice cream, frozen yogurt, and frozen dessert-type products, as good as that available in my local markets, and I can make frozen dessert out of almost anything, including my protein drinks. I can also make almost any variety of low carb ice cream that I want, and am experimenting with unusual ice cream products. A few notes: - This machine is loud when creamifying the ice cream - about as loud as my vacuum cleaner. This will turn off some people, and can be a problem using it where noise is a concern. - Need to prepare and freeze ice cream 24 hours in advance, so spontaneity might be an issue. Any unfrozen pockets can ruin the texture, so needs the full 24 hours. It can turn commercial ice cream into soft serve for those spontaneous moments. - Very easy to clean, the parts are all self contained, and the main unit does not touch the ice cream or get dirty (except maybe the drip tray), which is a huge plus. - Expensive, but long-term return on investment may be good versus buying commercial frozen dessert products, and it is in the price range of many medium- to higher-end home ice cream makers, and of the many I have had in the past, this is the best so far, so worth it. - It only comes with two ice cream cups, and with the need to freeze 24 hours in advance, most people will need more. Fortunately they are also available here on Amazon, in two-packs. Make sure to buy the ones specifically for this 700-series machine, because older versions for previous machines will not work with this newer machine.

I absolutely love my Ninja Creami! It’s one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve made. It’s so easy to make healthy, homemade ice cream, protein ice cream, sorbet, smoothie bowls, and frozen treats with ingredients I already have at home. Everything comes out incredibly creamy, and if it’s ever a little crumbly, one quick respin makes it perfect. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and has saved me money compared to buying ice cream all the time. If you’re on the fence, I definitely recommend it—it’s worth it!

I've been an avid gambler for several years now and it's cost me nearly everything. I make good money, but it all goes into the slots. I finally broke down and saw a therapist who specializes in gambling addiction and she advised that I take up another hobby to fill that void. Now I LOVE ice cream and I remember making it as a kid, so I thought this would be a great hobby. I got one of those Nistalgia Products ice cream makers and it helped a little, but something was missing. It didn't give me that instant gratification the slots gave me or play to the tactile fixation of pulling that lever I'd become so accustomed to. Ultimately I was unable to help myself. Fast forward to the release of the Ninja Swirl by Creami. I originally saw it on YouTube, and immediately I noticed that lever. I also saw that ice cream is a fast process (aside from the 24 hour freeze time) I knew I had to have it. Ever since I've been creaming it every night before bed. I'll load up one container with a soft serve mix and put it in the freezer and then load the the previous night's into the machine. I love seeing the lights on it too! It is a bit loud and not in the satisftying way the slots are, but when I pull that handle to be rewarded with delicious soft serve rather than another $50 down the drain it's honestly such a life changer! I will say the initial investment was tough as I waited anxiously for the machine to arrive with no money left for the slots, but it's well worth the tremors and migraines I suffered during said wait. I'm very happy with this and so happy to be putting my life back together. Thank you Ninja!

It works. Our grandkids love it -- and especially love pulling the handle so that they are 'making' their own ice cream. Like everyone else, I was struck by how noisy it is in the first part of the mixing cycle, but I have not found the cleaning as difficult as many. And it seems solidly built. Two caveats worth noting, neither a deal killer. First, it's a lot of steps, although they are not that complicated and kids love watching and "helping." Second, each batch is pretty small -- basically 2-3 modest portions. If you've got a group you'll want to make two batches, and if you're going to really use the machine you'll want to buy a couple of extra containers [they don't cost much].

I will update after several uses...meanwhile...We made our first pint last night! Soft serve in a cone. I think the flavor was from the vanilla pudding. So, the flavor was not the same nor the silkyness was not the same as McDs or your local soft serve ice cream place, but if definitely was NOT like homemade churned ice cream or from an ice cream shop. I have never been a fan of ice cream, BUT I have always loved me some soft serve...the flavor, the creaminess! I am excited about trying this machine again and get more experience on how to use it or at least feel very comfortable on my knowledge on how to use it. I also had my daughter give me one of the puppy pee mats. The one (there were 2 in pkg) is now used for the water that spills from the dog fountain we have and is messing with soaking into our floorboard. It seems one of the #1 complaints on the Swirl is the loud noise. It concerned me so I asked for the other washable pee pad. I thought maybe cutting back on vibration would help cut down on the noise....ummmm, not sure, but I can attest that the reviews were wrong about the noise or the pad really made a difference! I expected a loud noise like a leaf blower, it was maybe as loud as a stand mixer. I believe that it must be the pad. I am not saying you should buy one. You could substitute a small bath towel. I just wanted to offer this as a solution for the loud noise. We bought the package from Amazon. Washable Pee Pads, Super Absorbent Puppy Pads, 2 Pack 18"x24". I know absolutely nothing about the company, but figure that I would pass this FYI on in the hopes that it might increase sales for them. I will update this review later.

A mí esposa le encantó!! Ahora ella disfruta de los helado sin preocuparse por las calorías ni azúcar (ella los prepara de proteína y yogurt) super rico y saludables!! Está versión es ideal para niños ya que deja el helado súper cremoso para ellos, al principio no quería comprarla por qué es un gasto inicial muy elevado y pensaba que los ingredientes eran más costosos que al final gastaría más en cada verano que comprar en la tienda helados y paletas. La cosa cambia por qué no cualquier helado o paleta tiene bajas calorías y suelen ser más costosos, pero si ella consume proteína y yogurth, los ingredientes ya los teníamos, la fruta congelada como fresa, mango o frutos rojos suelen ser más económicos congelados reduciendo los gastos, en conclusión creo que con el tiempo es más económico y saludable, a los niños se les da una proteína para ellos que tiene vitaminas y les encanta! Se puede adaptar para cada uno dependiendo que necesitan más y con el rico sabor y su textura cremosa. Es costosa pero vale la pena ver a mi esposa feliz cada vez que hace su helado! Ella dice que lo más complicado es hacer la mezclas que es relativamente fácil y esperar a que esté congelado, el resto la máquina lo hace

Works nicely. The noise is very loud it’s honestly too loud and it really takes a long time to even make the ice cream. Only use it when I have to make my son something. Other than that it’s put up. Not really worth the money.

جهاز صناعة السعادة للاطفال وبصحة. صرت اعمل ايسكريم في البيت صحي ولذيذ واعطيه حتى لبنتي عمر السنتين. الاطفال بينبسطوا ويستمتعوا بالتجربة وفكرة صنع اي ايسكريم باي مكونات وياكلوا منه كمية كبيرة بدون ما نوقفهم تحول اي نوع سائل مجمد الى ايسكريم لذيذ وبقوام رائع

I’m very happy with my Ninja Creami! The machine works perfectly and arrived exactly as I ordered it, the ME version. Everything was in excellent condition and the quality is great. For anyone out there with lactose/dairy intolerance, this is an absolute revelation. Combine that with gluten intolerance/coeliac disease and you will begin to understand why this review is so emphatic. - Finding a machine that can make soft serve creamy and delicious ice-cream, served in a delicious gluten free cone is an absolute game changer for us. And the fact that many of the recipes are so easy to prepare means that we have enjoyed ice-creams almost every day over this summer of record-breaking heat. The machine comes with all relevant attachments, 2 bowls for ice-cream, and a recipe book that features tonnes of options for both dairy & non-dairy lovers, including yoghurts,sorbets etc. The first few uses are a bit of a learning curve - as the device is not particularly intuitive - but once you know the process, it is very quick. Mixing up the bowl before serving takes a few minutes, and is extremely noisy - so I try to set it while waiting in another room, watching tv etc, til that part is done. The cleanup is easy, and all parts are dishwasher proof.

Don't get me wrong, its a great little device although I haven't used it fully yet but the reason I gave just 3 stars is due to the price..a bit on the expensive side for what it is
