This is the UK version that was released in 2007. It has 14 tracks while the US version has only 12. Both tracklists are different. Mastering is different too.

Many awesome tracks but some that are not quite right...
There are some tracks on this album that can simply only be described as awesome, epic, full-bodied etc (everything other reviewers have written), some of the best music I've literally ever heard. The music is principally orchestral, but influenced by rock, a little electronica, some eastern sounds and a bit of opera. It reminds me of some of the scores by Harry Gregson-Williams.Sadly I think the album peaks in the first 3 tracks (albeit with some really great ones dotted around later, including the penultimate 13th), all being music that I'd prefer to listen to on decent headphones, lying down with eyes closed. But, the final track in particular is just... out of place and doesn't immediately prompt me to start the CD again - a shame because I think this is one of those albums that grows on the listener as you find more intricacies that you missed previously. I would also tend to skip track 4 (Spiritus Khayyam) - sorry, but this sounds like a bad moment at Eurovision to me, track 6 (Europa) also doesn't sound great - too much like "musical" music for my tastes and comes across as a bit "naff" (not least when in such good company as some of the other tracks). So just enough great tracks to make this worthwhile as a CD (at marketplace prices) rather than buying just those tracks from a download shop, but a few tracks prevent me giving this 5 stars. Looking forward to hearing more from Globus.

Simply Awesome
Last Tuesday morning, my radio alarm went off at 6.20am as it always does, stationed on Radio 2. I woke up to the most amazing piece of music which really moved me. It was a mix of orchestra with a ethnic/arabic sound. Wow what a start to my day. I couldn't move out of bed until I had heard it all and hoped Sarah Kennedy would announce who it was. She did, it was Globus and the track was Spritus Khayyam. So up I got, made a cuppa went on line and did a bit of research and placed my order. In the meantime thanks to some free downloads I was able to listen to the snippet of Prelude (On Earth as in Heaven) which was equally as good.My CD arrived today and all I can say is THANK YOU to all who made this. It is wonderful. It is a mixture of classical, orchestral, choiral and the different styles take you on many different journeys. Love the "French" track at the end which is very apt as we are off to France in 3 weeks. I can just imagine sitting in a cosy French cafe with "Porque Te Vas" playing in the background.Bliss.Some of the tracks remind me of other songs/artists. In particular Enigma who I absolutely love and own every one of their CDs. I am also reminded of Consumo Percifio by Enya. The track On Earth as In Heaven reminds me of the recent single by Jem.I would have LOVED to have gone to this concert. Hopefully they will do a tour and please please come to Aberdeen!!! I bet that concert would have been absolutely mind blowing. To summarise - a fantastic album which takes you through your emotions, a mixture of different world musics and a blend of eroticism in this music. Enjoy.

Epic!
This is just about as grand and epic as it gets! A fantastic album if you love this kind of thing: Music that expresses deep emotions through massive soundscapes. The obvious compassion is Enigma, but where Enigma has more of a "dancey" feel these days, this focuses much more on big sound productions, orchestrations and layered vocals. Dramatic is putting it lightly! It feels like being in the middle of a film soundtrack. I would reccommend this well priced CD to any lover of deep, melodic classic/pop music with beautiful productions and a few surprises thrown in. It showcases the power of dramatic, quality, stirring and euphoric songs that one never tires of. Any serious music collector will have this. If you haven't and want to be taken on a journey of wonder and beauty, click that order button now...fantastic!

Bought it for Preliator, which is mind-blowing. However ...
Bought it for Preliator, which is mind-blowing. However the rest of the tracks are somewhat mediocre, even straying into pop music territory. Still worth buying for that one epic track, though.

Fantastic!
This is a truly fantastic album. The pace of music takes you to another world and is pure genius. If you like new age music but find some of it a bit bland listen to this and it will blow you away!

Comment dire...
