Very effective
Valerian root is very calming. This brand particularly. I take 2 capsules prior to bedtime and it had helped me with menopausal hot flashes control. I am now able to sleep through the night.

This is wonderful to create a feeling of inner peace and calm. The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars is it is a bit costly for the amount you get. And I take more than the 2 pills usually. Gaia is a trusted brand.

Did not help me sleep
I was really excited to try this to help me sleep, but to be honest it did not make me feel more relaxed or anything for that matter, and I’ve taken Valerian root before and it usually would help me sleep, but not this one and I don’t understand why because the other one was less of a dose.

Makes you very relaxed and ready for sleep.
I have historically had a tough time getting to sleep. Some nights I would be tossing and turning for a couple hours with my thoughts working overtime. I'd get so wound up I knew sleep was a long way to come. I'm nearly done with my first bottle and just ordered another one. I used valerian root previously but no matter what brand, the capsules smelled so bad and, god help you if you burped, it could ruin a night. These caps are liquid filled. No smell, no talking back. In about 20-30 minutes, I'm drowsy and ready for bed. These are the best!
