These are great, really imaginative and you want to keep reading them, although at times repetitive. And I personally don’t like some of the endings. I feel like they’re too rushed or could have been written better/ taken to a space of like ahh I would love to hear more about these characters. But all throughout it’s a great build up and the stories are like a warm hug. And this is with any one of the Chrestomanci books I read. And others by this writer.

When ever I need something comforting to soothe me I read these books- especially Charmed Life.I love that book as it reminds me of my childhood.

This 7-book set is the full Chrestomanci series, including Diana Wynne Jones' short story collection (Mixed Magics.) The covers are beautiful, and each book has interior illustrations. Each of the main books also comes with bonus material at the end. Some have interviews with Diana Wynne Jones, several have extra details about Chrestomanci's world, and one (The Lives of Christopher Chant) has a story about DWJ's childhood.If you're already a fan of the Chrestomanci series, this is one of the nicest editions I've seen, and the bonus material is wonderful. If you haven't read Chrestomanci yet -- give it a shot. The books are clever, funny, and full of wonder, and you'll find yourself coming back for more.

Always wanted to read this series in order and hope my grandchildren will enjoy them too
