Kali approved
Plug and play on Kali Linux. A great, affordable alternative to the more expensive ALFA usb adapters that are typically suggested. Really, any AR9271 should work fine with Kali so don't overpay. This one works great and the casing on the adapter I received is much nicer than in the item photo. Would recommend.

You get what you pay for
This is a really cool tool to have in your tool belt, especially if you tinker with Kali Linux. Works well, it's obviously Chinese made in the installation wasn't as smooth as I would have wished but at the end of the day it was cheap.

Works great on Linux
Works very well with LInux. No drivers necessary, just plug it in. HOWEVER, if you want to use it as an access point, it's internal firmware limits it to 8 devices. Other than that limitation, this is a great little device for Linux. I can't comment on Windows, as I stopped using Windows a very long time ago.

Good, but not good enough
I bought it because it had compatibility with Linux as my machine didn't have Wi-Fi driver support. It works but it's rate limited and while I do get WiFi it's much slower than I had hoped for. I liked the cheaper price but failed to notice it's 2.4ghz only. If I were to purchase again I'd go for a different dongle with better Wi-Fi support.

Lot of work, but works good.
Worked good as a softAP Access Point for my Wii, DS, and other *A N C I E N T* devices that can't connect to modern networks while retaining access to the internet on my main machine. No drivers needed on Linux, but I did need to fiddle with a script to get it into softAP mode the way I wanted it.

works well
I bought this because it has drivers for older Windows operating systems. It has worked with Vista, Windows server 2008, 10 and 11 and Linux. A driver will not be found automatically on windows you must download the driver on another PC, that and the fact that it is on the slow side are the cons but this device has great compatibility with older OS. it is a bit on the large side for these kids of inexpensive adapters.

Perfect for Monitor/Promiscuous mode
Used it with Kali in Ethical Hacking class for capturing WPA2 encrypted frames. Things worked as expected. Inexpensive device for experimenting with promiscuous mode. Only wish it was available as a USB C device.

My view of the ar9271 and it's functionality
This ar9271 device is great with debian and Kali Linux. So far I have tested ap mode on this device and of course 4G WiFi connectivity works. Speeds are pretty good especially for the price it is . If I am able to crack passwords and use it for other stuff I will update the review to include it so check back for that info in a month or whenever. You get off pretty good signal with it and the drivers are already installed in Linux.

Antena correcta, si es AR9271
Si es el chipset correcto, lo volvería a comprar si lo requiero
