Stopped Pulsating of Fridge Water, should be included equipment vs add-on for RO system
Initially installed the Waterdrop G3P600 RO system, Put a T in the line for 25 ft of 3/8 tubing (instead of 1/4) for the fridge water / icemaker. I also replaced the fridge filter with a plug. Even with the larger tubing, it still pulsated when I used the fridge water. It was feeding the ice maker ok (20 yr old fridge). The G3P600 cycled on and off alot. I then installed this pressure tank the pulsating went away and the G3P600 system does not cycle on and off as much. I am disappointed I had to spend another $40 to get the RO system to effectively do what my traditional RO system did out of the box.... This should be included in the base RO system, instead of an add on... But does the trick. It does introduce a BUNCH more leakage points in this design, which makes me nervous.

Works well with reverse osmosis to fridge
I got this to go in line with my reverse osmosis system that feeds directly into my fridge. I assume it works well since the pressure keeps up. I never tried the system without it.

Can do better
Didn't seem to help much with pressure compared to my previous tank based RO filtration system that supported the same three outlets (faucet, fridge, hotwater), but did not try removing it after installation. The pump kicks in immediately in the RO system as there is not much capacity in this small tank. It likely gives you an illusion of water rushing through early on, but almost immediately teh RO system kicks in.

Just what I needed
Pressure tank for the win. RO system wasn't handling making ice with the new fridge. Installed mini tank and couldn't be happier. More pressure at the faucet is nice also. Fit under the sink without taking up to much space and came with everything needed for a easy install.

Refrigerator connection is an add-on and is complex
This works, but it is expensive for what should be basic and included functionality, includes excessive additional components, and is overly complicated to install. Rethink and reengineer, please! The Waterdrop X12 base unit does include connect to your refrigerator. All refrigerators these days include water and/or ice and require a water line connection. Most or all purchasers will want this accessory to add their refrigerator to the X12 filter. It should not be an expensive extra. This unit is overly complex. Rather than a simple "T" to connect the filter to the refrigerator, this includes a mini pressure tank and a 3-way value. I don't know why these are needed but Waterdrop says that they are. The 3-way value and maybe the pressure tank could easily be incorporated into the main unit. The installation is overly complicated. After installing the X12 unit, I had to cut into the water supply line and the filter line and make 12 different water line connections to get everything connected. These parts and all of the new lines crowded my undersink space. The unit appears to work fine.
