This splatter cover comes with a pamphlet describing its uses. We've used it almost exclusively to keep canned soups and leftovers from exploding on the inside of the oven. It does a great job on this, is sturdy, and much easier to clean than the inside of the oven. The product is big enough to fit over full size plates, and tall enough for oversized soup bowels. If you have smaller than a full size microwave oven, check the measurements to make sure it'll fit. This model also includes a trough inside which can be filled with water to keep reheats from getting too dry. We haven't used this feature yet. Overall, a quality product!

I love rice. I keep any leftover rice in a leakproof glass container, thinking it’ll keep it from drying out; doesn’t necessarily happen. What works is dampening a paper towel with water, covering the leftover rice, and then reheat in the microwave. Comes out as if just cooked from the rice cooker. I thought I save time and put the leftover rice on a plate, pour leftover entree over it, cover with the damped paper towel, and heat it up in the microwave. It didn’t work as I wanted. The leftover entree was warmed up and moist, the rice was not. Had to separate the rice and reheat by itself. I was tired of using up paper towels, and reheating items separately. Bought this splatter cover with water steamer. Changed everything! With this I can plate my rice, pour all the fixings over it, cover with splatter cover w/water steamer all at once and it all comes out as if just cooked! This does so much more than just a regular microwave splatter cover. Perfect size for me, everything included and works as described. I’m seriously buying this as a part of my Christmas gifts for my adult children.

I am so glad I picked this microwave cover with the water steamer! It works so well when heating up leftover pastas or anything else that tends to dry out a bit in the microwave. It’s also great for frozen dumplings. Usually I pan fry them but in a rush I will microwave them and the water reservoir steams them nicely. My only gripe is that it’s on the shorter side so if your dish is tall or you’re using taller Tupperware, it’ll still work, but it’s a bit inconvenient. I’ve recommended it to others, so definitely consider this one!

Great quality product. Easy to clean. But handle prevents sitting flush on my rotating tray. Keeps food moist! Thank you!

Creates great humidity and steam. You can also use it without water and the only steam will come from what you're heating. It's pretty large, so if your microwave is small make sure it will fit. Easy to wash by hand.
