Great small tool. Use it along with my other tools, and something about its compact design makes it feel easier to use.

I have four or five of these. Perfectly sized and effective for hooking, scraping, prying, and throwing into a pocket. The most useful tool in my kit.Full disclosure - I have at one time or two, dropped it into the hive or misplaced it due to it's size... But such a great little tool!

I ordered one of these for myself so I would stop taking my husband's! The regular size hive tools are great but I like this little one. I can put it on a lanyard and I'm not looking for where I sat my hive tool or where I dropped it. I can also clip a little stretchy key chain on it and put it around my wrist and just let go when im done using it. The only thing I didn't like was the price. It's less material so why is it that expensive?

I was first using the traditional flat hive tool, but I disliked damaging the frames trying to pry them up. I switched to using a 9" J hook hive tool that worked good, but it always felt like i was on the verge of dropping it when switching from the tool to my hand. I briefly tried this shorter hive tool and didn't like it because the J hook didn't go around as far and I thought it put too much sideways pressure on the frames. But eventually I found it to work a light better in the tighter spaces of my apimaye 7 frame nucs when I gave it a try again after having a hard time working with the larger J hook. Now I'm hooked on this small one after a bit of practice, and I don't use the other hive tools. I'm going to buy a spare just in case I loose this one.

I love this thing! The only problem is I keep losing it 🤣

I keep one of these is my truck at all times…I love this little tool and would even buy a larger version

This hive tool does it all, and does so in a smaller size that easily fits into my pants or jacket pocket without falling out like other regular size/length hive tools. This has become my "go to" hive tool.

Love this handy little tool for working in my beehives. It’s well-made and inexpensive, and I’ll be ordering an extra one in case I accidentally leave this one in a hive. I also discovered it fits nicely in the bottom of my small purse, and could conceivably be used to defend myself, in a pinch.
