A must have for competitive gamers that pushes 360fps +
PannyLanny, an unbiased reviewer.Owned it for 6 months now. (Image is of AW2725DF QD-OLED 360hz on the left and Acer XV272u X 270hz ips on the right)Pros:1. The input lag even at lower fps like 100-140fps is much much better than any IPS panel at same fps2. The blacks are ofc true black and gives an insane contrast and viewing experience3. The 360hz works like a charm and the motion clarity is insanely good. Yes, I can notice the shift from 270hz to 360hz specially because it is OLED with lower input delay as well.4. There is sharpness setting in the monitor which can help you set your desired sharpness which I like a lot ( ofc oled itself is more sharper than IPS because of deeper blacks)5. The max brightness is MORE THAN ENOUGH for my usage where I have shades on during the day and I never crank brightness more than 80%6. I have been using it for 6 months and there is not even a single sign of burn in issue.7. The HDR performance is insanely good (I use HDR True Black) and watching movies on HDR is really an experience to behold8. The purple tint everyone is concerned about, is not really a concern while using the monitor as it is insanely tough to notice it unless you have light shining on it directly in close range9. the monitor comes with 4-5 usb ports and is iinsanely useful as I have a lot of accessories connected to my PC10. The stand is very sturdy and wobble is very minimal, and the stand footprint is also very small which si very appreciated as it helps manage your deskspace easier and alrge mousepad can accomodate your desk easier11. I havent faced a single issue from the OSD so far, although the Alienware command centre I cant really talk about as I still havent figured out hwo to use it. The OSD settings are easy to navigate.12. I can use HDR Mode while having G sync on.13. I do not feel any eye strain as I have read on some review people facing.14. The glossy coating of QD-OLED as ocmpared to IPS, the images really look very vibrant and shiny and appealing (making the images that appear less foggy if thats the right term)15. Alienware warranty is something I can count on, Previous alienware model that I have owned, the warranty was seemless and one of the best I have ever seen.Cons:1. Doesnt look drastically better as others praise QD-OLED monitors to be colourwise compared to my IPS Panel in fullly coloured scenes (check Image 2) (I have seen OLED TV and they look better than my QD-OLED Monitor) Yes its an upgrade over an IPS Panel in terms of visuals but not as much as I expected it to be..2. The insane Black of the monitor means playing competitive game where there are dark areas (like literally entire map of warzone, dust 2 lower tunnels, etc) you almost cant see anything even with black stabilizer (thats a con of oled itself for gaming, not this monitor, but still keep it in mind)3. Doesnt have in built speaker :(4. The Display needs utmost care while handling it i.e. dont use any random cloth to clean it and only use the cloth provided in the box to clean it whicch is small... and it is very easy to scratch (as I have seen in reviews) so cleaning it is a very big hassleShould you buy this?If your budget allows and you play competitive games at a higher level then yesIf you are tight on budget then go for 300hz 1440p ACER IPS its very good as well and is 3x cheaperIf you dont play comp games a lot then prefer going 4k 32inch 240hz oledWill it make you a better player? If you push your PC to 360hz then it will definitely elevate your skills but only you can make yourself a better playerP.s. I would highly recommend your PC to push 360fps to truly capitalize on the huge amount you are spending on this monitor, something like 5800x3d with 4070ti / 7900GRE is what I would recommend minimumSorry for the long post, I hope this helps even a bit.
