This is an absolute life changer for me! I can finally be done with lipstick. I have always felt I had odd shaped lips and trying to perfect lipstick was just too time consuming. Then I usually wouldn't even like the look when I was done, realizing it just didn't match my very "basic" look, but still don't like my lips completely bare. This is the perfect medium. Just enough color to know something is there and soooo easy to apply. Just like chapstick, I don't even need a mirror, and it's super moisturizing. The color is a little different than I was expecting... a bit more brown with a bit of a reddish tint, when I expected it to be more of a deep red, but I am still pleased with it. I will also be purchasing a couple other colors and I'm sure this will be a permanent addition to my bag.

I started using this lip balm while taking Accutane to treat moderate acne, during which time almost all of my skin was dry and flaky, including my lips. The lip balms I already owned just weren't helping with the dryness and left my lips feeling sore, so I decided that I would completely change up my skincare routine to use natural, gentle and nourishing products. Given these constraints, Burt's Bees tinted lip balm seemed like the best choice, and I really loved the colors available. With my lips so dry, I certainly couldn't wear lipstick, so this seemed like a really tempting alternative. I was impressed from the first application; the texture of the balm is smooth and buttery, but it definitely doesn't feel greasy. Red Dahlia is a beautiful color, and I was surprised by how well the tint suited my skin tone. But most importantly, after a couple of weeks of use my lips stopped hurting, and even felt smooth again!! That was over two years ago, and I still use only this lip balm.

I am very, very happy with this lip balm. Here's why: --It's very moisturizing. My lips are incredibly prone to chapping, and I have found that a lot of balms just seem to make that worse. And I'll admit, I haven't been a huge fan of a lot of the Burt's Bees products that I've found. Well, this is my favorite lip balm that I've tried from Burt's Bees, and it does not dry my lips out. Rather, my lips stay nice and soft. Granted, this is not rich enough to be my only lip balm -- I use Aquafor at night. But for the daytime, this is great. -- I LOVE the color. I decided to go with Red Dahlia based on some other commenters' recommendations, and I am so happy with this shade. I am very pale / fair, and I like to wear lip color that is a deep, slightly dark red. This is amazing. I find it to be a very sophisticated shade. And it really helps, I think, that Burt's Bees uses natural coloring agents, so the color is "found in nature." Overall, I will keep buying this product. I keep it at my desk at work and apply it 2-3 times per day. It does come off on my coffee mug, but I don't mind! It's easy enough to just wipe it off the mug (it doesn't stain), and it's cheap enough to reapply a few times a day. Definitely recommend!

I love Burts Bees product. I thought I would try this product because lipstick is just to messy for my busy lifestyle and it's just much to worry about. I love dark red lips, I think it looks great on every skin tone but at the end of the day I would find it essentially smeared and smudged around my mouth and that's not cute. I like chapstick because it hydrates you lips and you don't have to worry about it too much. So when I was looking for lip stains this product came up, and I already own Burts Bees pomegranate chapstick (which is amazing). So I purchased this item and hoping for a tint enough to make my lips pop. Unfortunately I didn't get that. I have an Olive complexion and no tint. The balm itself smells great it hydrates amazingly I'm wearing it now I love it I mean it might replace my pomegranate chapstick BUT it did not tint my lips whatsoever and I wore it all day. That's why it got a 4 out of 5 great product but didn't do what was advertised.

I love the Fresh brand Lip Tint with SPF from Sephora. It is truly a tint not a want-a-be lipstick so you dont need a mirror to apply, it keeps a nice flush of color on the lips, and it is wonderfully moisturizing. I started to work in office instead of from home and at $20 a piece those Fresh tubes went fast from re-applying throughout the work day. My search for a less expensive product began and this Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm finally hit the mark. The only difference is it doesnt have SPF but since I am using it in doors that doesnt bother me. I am a fair skinned blond that leans towards cool tones and Red Dalhia looks freat on me. The color of it in the tube looks intimidating but on it isnt that dark just a nice flush of deep red like your lips are almost naturally this red and sexy :) Put a bit more on to enhance that effect. Great lip balm going to collect more colors.

I am very happy with this lip balm! It was moist without being sticky, and it really feels like it could protect my lips in winter. I bought this because I have a light skin complexion with freckles and I'm trying to go for a more natural look to work what I've got. The lip balm definitely didn't have as much color as I anticipated, but truthfully, it's so great that it's not a big deal. It looks very natural, but it also enhances your lips with a little shine and a tiny bit of red/pink color. Perfect for everyday wear to give your lips a boost. I will definitely invest in some other colors in the future.

I bought this because I was looking for a lip moisturizer that added a hint of color to the lips. This is just what I wanted. I would have preferred it to be unscented or without the mint taste.

I purchased this in the hopes that it would be the original formula, and it is. The new one has no pigment at all. It is called Red Dahlia, there is no colour to it. Basically you are paying 8 bucks for colourless balm. I was so disappointed when I purchased at the store. Truly delighted that this (purchased from Amazon) is the formula I love, with the right pigment. Burt's Bees, I don't know what you're doing, but please go back to the original because I will not purchase the new formula again.
