Working as intended. When activating the device be careful with the switch because you can deactivate it by accident if you push the switch too far I ruined one in the past by accident and deactivated it. Read the directions.

Well made and sturdy. Like the instructions on outer cover for use. Tested and works. Would recommend. Best one for a senior; don’t have to be changing batteries all the time.

This replaced an old smoke detector. The underside has several installation hole options so we didn’t need to drill new holes in the ceiling. For something so important we wanted the best rated brand. Would recommend.

I am not kidding about it going off when I had deactivated it. I double and triple checked! I would put zero star if I could. Malfunctioned. It even sounded alarm when I had it off. I did not like it from the start but this is my first 10 year battery alarm. The audio is just barely audible in another room if door is closed! By comparison my cheap 9volt battery powered ones are so loud it is painful to get anywhere near them!Looks like the unit went faulty about 2 to 3 weeks after activating it. It just would go off by itself. Then I would shut it off and reactivate it and it was quite.......until about 30 minutes later and again started to beep the smoke alarm tones. From what I read from other complaints there is no use getting a refund and I really do not want a replacement. If they cannot get all their units to work how can one trust this company? I don't want to find out their replacement or another model fails to detect smoke after my house burns down! No thanks. I will seek other brands.
