Easy installation with no modification of your fluorescent fixture!
These bulbs are a good value, came promptly with no issues and are a quick and easy replacement for T5 12 inch fluorescent tubes. Half of the tube has a metal "shade" so that you can choose to install it with either indirect or direct lighting. These bulbs are a little brighter and cooler than the original fluorescents, but from my perspective that's not a problem. The LED's give better task lighting on the counter. I've had no issues with heat or flickering or early failure as some have described. To be fair, I can't really comment on the longevity because my bulbs have only been installed for about 7 weeks, but so far, so good.UPDATE: 10-11-2023 I have had these bulbs installed over my kitchen counters now for quite a while. I have had no problems at all. They are not hot, they do not flicker, and they have all continued to light my counters since installation. No early burn-outs. Because of this, I have just ordered another set of 8 to have on hand when the first of the original batch eventually fails. Hopefully it will be many more years!

Excellent product! Cost less per unit than the fluorescent they replace if bought at Home Depot.
These are simply Awesome. And the price is even better. These cost less per bulb than the T5 fluorescent it replacesHome Depot : Philips 8-Watt 12 in. Linear T5 Fluorescent Light Bulb, Cool White (4100K)Model# 391144. $8.47These look great in my kitchen, the color temp of 4000K looks accurate, as advertised, which is a cooler temp than many 3000K ceiling lights, etc. But the standard temp for most 12 inch fluorescent lights you would find. I used 7 of the 8-pack for my under-cabinet kitchen lights (i tested all 8), and they all work perfectly. No flicker, nice quality of light and 1/2 the power use of a fluorescent. This is truly a no-brained: They cost less than the fluorescent, use 1/2 the power, put out 1/2 as much heat, if even that. And they work. Nice product and build quality. They have a reflective side the covers half the cylinder length that you can either choose to insert light so that the reflector bounces light to counter or up into fixture. I installed mine reflector side down actually (to bounce the light up into fixture) to soften the light even more. Either way looks great, but this just appeared to reduce light output 10-20%, more to my taste.

Runs EXTREMELY hot aka Ballast Killer
Bought these for my airstream to replace the bulbs in the ThinLite 112’s that are all over the place. Install was easy. However within two hours the two fixtures I left on quit working all together. Ballasts and “bulbs” were too hot to the touch. See the picture of the burned out IC. Now I have to buy two new ThinLite fixtures, not happy. Seller will blame the ballasts as being on its way out, somehow I find it hard to believe that ALL TEN FIXTURES have a failing ballast. So they’re just shifting the blame off them onto the original manufacturer. Stay away from this product, find one that requires you to wire your ballast out of circuit.

Good product...works as stated
Works great... very bright. Tends to run a bit hot though. Minus a star for heating issues. This is not a hybrid led lamp so it requires the ballast to work. If you try to bypass ballast with 120v line voltage you will fry the lamp.If flickering occurs...your old ballast needs to be replaced...better to just replace whole fixture or use hybrid led and remove ballast altogether.

Plug and play
Works perfectly and replaced old mercury based florescent bulbs in under the counter fixtures. One half is reflective so make sure you turn the bulb to the correct direction when installing to ensure it shines down towards the counter.I know I had to remove the ballasts for my other overhead lamps on another switch to convert them to LED. I am not sure if there was also a ballast for these fixtures. However, I only had to put these bulbs in and hit the switch for these retrofit LEDs to work. They are also slightly brighter than the bulbs they replaced.

Impressed by color match to Cool White Fluorescent and Brightness
My under cabinet lights (F8T5 and F13T5) stay on almost constantly, and seldom get the number of expected hours out of them, no matter what brand I tried. Last batch of fluorescents lasted about 1/3 of their expected 7000 hours. Glad I found these LEDs which do not require ballast removal or by-pass. Pictures were taken to show how well the 4000K LEDs match the color temp of the Cool White Fluorescents, and how they seem slightly brighter as well. Will be very pleased if these last as long as advertised (50,000 hours, or for me, 6+ years)2/4/2021: Edited to correct that the LEDs are 4000K, my old fluorescents are 4100K.

Efficient LED lamps, compatible with camper
Installed in old camper, significant brighter relative old lamps. But this lamps with directional light, so in some cases it efficiency drops.

Bright LED Replacements
This was a great solution, as old style Ft5 bulbs are getting just as expensive as LED's. They are way brighter the original bulbs. The jury will be out until the longevity of these LED's prove themselves!
