Perfect for covering seedlings in cold weather and to thwart birds
I bought a couple of the sets of Lifetime raised garden beds that includes two bases and only one of these early start tent enclosures. I ended up using the garden beds as singles rather than a double layer and as I liked the tent so well, I came back to buy tents for the four single beds that I had which did not have them. These are extremely easy to set up - just push them together and insert them into the bed at the right spot. Then you cover the metal with the plastic and you are done. I use them when I am starting seeds in spring - both to keep the temps warmer and to keep the birds from eating my seeds. If it gets too warm during the day, I open the side that has a zippered vent and the mesh allows air to flow through but not the birds to come in.I still cover my seedlings with a planket if the temps dip too much into freeze territory but for 99% of the time, these tents do the trick for me. I recommend both the beds and the tents to anyone who is interested in trying square foot gardening. I have been using these products for more than three seasons and they still work fantastic.

This is an awsome cover.
It works better in a planter bed, but not a great fit on my lifetime 4x4 raised planter. Bought this cover to protect tender plants from insects and slugs. For me, it is a poor fit for the Lifetime 4x4 planter, which I have and love, but use a different top cover on it which fits better to keep the bugs out. I just can't get it to fit as well on the lifetime 4x4. Getting back to the cover, it is sturdy, holds up to multiseasonal use, and has a fresh air vent I can close or open. Great in any garden space where cold temperatures and bugs are not wanted.

The idea of this product is great since I have planted a fall crop in my 4' x 4' raised garden bins and hoped to keep them growing well into Nov/Dec with the protection of the cover. The product advertised that it "can be used alone". It CAN NOT. The standalone cover is missing clips into which to place the end poles of the covers frame. In the directions it looks like there are clips attached to the inside of the Lifetime Raised Bin that are NOT included with the standalone unit. Also, the clips to hold down the plastic cover that are provided, do not fit the inside corners of straight sided wooden or plastic bins and there is NOTHING on the inside of the plastic cover to fasten it to the poles. Lastly, it does not look as high as in the picture, so, I am concerned that it will not be high enough to fit over the tops of my plants. I'm sorry I bought it so early, as I have missed the return date.

Good Concept, Needs Better Way to Connect Poles to Cover
This cover must be used with the Lifetime raised garden, will not work with any other 4'x4' raised garden. The cover doesnt strap to the poles very well, thus not making it very usable outside of using it with the Lifetime raised garden. The concept is very cool, and it probably would work quite well. I gave it a 3 star as I feel they could have made the connection between the cover and the two poles a bit better, but it literally only ties in the middle.

Easy of Set-up and use
We started with two of these raised beds and are up to 8. Our soil is full of clay and we could not grow a lot of things especially carrots. The bed is easy to spot and assemble. We laid down fabric clothe to cover the grass and ran it up the sides to cover the joint (we stacked ours to make 16" high beds), and filled with good quality dirt. The tent covers allowed us to start lettuce early and we are able to harvest a month earlier than normal. Weeding is also easier because you can pull up a chair instead of getting on your hands and knees.

Does the job
I bought 4 of these to keep the neighbor's cats out of my garden beds. They have helped to keep the heat in and give my plants an early start. Normally it would be time to plant now, but I actually have several things ready to harvest and yesterday I moved my new artichokes out because they outgrew the space. As other reviewers have said, there is a little gap, so it won't hold in all the heat or keep out all the insects and snails, but they do give the plants quite a bit of a boost, and my lettuce doesn't smell like cat pee, which is nice. I have the outer door open right now because it's warmer, and the screen is in place, letting me protect the crops and control the temperature.I don't want a handle at the top like other reviewers requested. The velcro straps at the four corners couldn't be easier to use, and I can lift the tent wherever I need to work. A handle would get dirty, and not look as nice as a smooth plastic top, I think.

Wonderful as a cold frame!
I have four of these, one for each raised bed. They're easy to install although you should attach the hardware when you construct the bed or you'll have a more difficult time of it. The plastic is sturdy enough to serve as a temporary cold frame as required although I wouldn't use it all winter at least not in my climate. They work well for me!

missing parts
I would give this a much higher rating if I could use it! I ordered the raised garden with the tent enclosure and ordered this tent as an additional enclosure so I could have an enclosure for both raised garden beds (rather then stacking the sides on the original order). The tent enclosure arrived missing the corner attachments needed to hold the tent to the raised bed. The box it was shipped in didn't appear to have room for the attachments. I am currently in the process of trying to get this resolved.
