Fantastic Kit for a Solid Repair
This product saved me from having a buy a whole new pool wall for my above ground pool. It is pretty simple to install if your pool water was below the return level. You just need to pull the top rails off and pull the liner away from the wall. Jobs fit for two people would be tough doing it by yourself. I highly suggest this kit if you are a do it yourself type.

Great overall, wish it were a bit bigger.
This is exactly what I needed. The previous owners of the house apparently let the water return eyehole leak every year. I replaced the gasket and got it to stop leaking but the rust damage was too far, after a few years it started falling apart around the hole. I found this product and it is nearly perfect. You will need to drain the water down to the level you do for winterization, so it's best to do it just before you open the pool. You don't need great skill level for this repair, you just need to feel comfortable drilling a few holes and using basic tools. Basically you take off the top railing as needed and let the liner down enough to work the plate in. I had my water drained probably 3-4 inches below the return hole.I used a shopvac to remove some rust pieces that had fallen in between the liner and wall. I then put the plate on the outside and then mark the holes with a pencil, and use the included drill bit to make the holes. Be careful not to drive the drill in too far and put holes in the liner, especially on the lower holes. Then you just use the included bolts, washer and nuts to attach the plates.I put duct tape on the inside over the edges and bolt heads just to help prevent the liner from catching or tearing the liner as an extra safety precaution. My only complaint is I wish the plate we're a bit bigger as my damage went down a bit more on the bottom right side. I will just put some waterproof caulk in there to stop rain water from continuing the rust.I also put some Rust-Oleum paint over the rust as well to help stop it from spreading from natural rain and outside moisture. Overall a great solution. I wish the price was a but lower for a metal plate, but unless you can make one yourself (I can't) this is cheap compared to severe pool damage. One last note I think the official recommendation is to use snips or something to remove all of the old damaged hole, but I don't like removing material unless I need to. If I can't get it to seal up with no leaks I will use snips to remove the outside wall portion so that it is flush with only the replacement wall, but the gasket should seal on the inner lining so I don't think I will need to.

Did the job
Easy to install if you have the know how to get behind your liner ,but use duck tape around the housing plate inside between the pool & liner ..they should of stated that when you install it ..2pool stores asked me if I did that I didn’t read anything in the instructions stating to duck tape.I had enough of space to go into existing hole to duck tape it because I already replaced everything back

SAVED MY POOL!
My return was leaking and causing corrosion that would eventually blow out the side of the pool. Clean the area with a wire brush and spray Rust-Oleum. Had to use a large vinyl patch due to liner damage at the return hole. You will need to hand tighten the return line plastic nut again when pool is filled. I recommend this repair kit to anyone with a similar issue. It also strengthens the area which is about as thick as a beer can.

This will take some time to install.
We have had our pool for about 14 years now, and we haven't had to many issues except the rusting around the skimmer hole. I researched to see what we could do to fix it so we could use it this year and I came across this. We fixed it just like the instructions said in Early June and no leaks! And it's even more stable than before! Very impressed! Great product with instructions!
