I recently had hip surgery. This required me to keep my hip elevated above my knees. I used this as a cushion on top of an existing chair to rise myself up. It worked great it's very comfortable. My hip is healed but I still use it because of the comfort. Adaptable to virtually any chair or seat. If I need another I will be back again.
