Amiral Gloss by Saphir helps you create a mirror finish on your leather shoes. Its oily texture makes it easy to apply when you want to produce that high-gloss shine on the ends of your shoes. It contains higher concentrations of beeswax making it a perfect choice for giving a radiant shine on any smooth leather item while creating a waterproof barrier to protect the leather against impact damage and dirt. The Saphir Amiral Gloss polish is an everyday favorite among shoe care experts for glossing leather shoes. Use the Saphir Amiral Gloss polish paste only on leather that has been cleaned and treated with a shoe cream. Never apply the polish paste to unclean and untreated leather as it contains no nourishing elements and could damage the leather. With this highly recommended product, a cotton polishing cloth and a bit of water are all you need to get that mirror finish on your shoes. Store your Saphir Amiral Gloss polish in a cool, dry place and make sure to close the tin properly in order to prevent the polish from drying out.

Best I’ve ever used, bar none
I am a former US Army NCO whose primary duties were drill and ceremony for five years. I know how to REALLY shine shoes. This polish is the best I’ve ever used. Period.Fast forward about a million years: now I’m a volunteer pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, and wear black boot (nice ones and not so nice ones), as well as dress shoes. I also wear a polo shirt uniform in the cockpit, and have a cheap pair of fake leather Dr. Scholl’s I wear just with that uniform. This polish is amazing; after three treatments to the cheap shoes, I had an outstanding shine. I thought about naming my review “Lipstick for your pig”.Again- best I’ve ever used. Period.

New Go-To
It’s a fine polish and goes on smooth. Ideal for toe caps and heels. On par with, and maybe a touch higher than Kiwi Parade gloss in terms of shine and ease of application. The reflectiveness is outstanding, however some of the polish flaked off on its own. I believe this can be solved with a good dry buff after a few layers.

Great shine for something so easy to apply
With patience, a few coats, and a lot of shining with very little pressure on the final coat, it results in a much higher shine than any regular shoe polish. I found my best results stripping off any previous polish on the shoes with acetone and applying conditioner to the shoes first, and using a cotton ball for the final buffing

Gives a very nice shine fast
It leaves a really nice glossy shine with only a few coats. My boots were already shined but they didn’t quít get this nice of a shine. Maybe with a few more layers I’ll get that mirror shine look that i really one.The only down side is that the was runs out quite faster than i expected.

Spent a lot of time "spit shining".
A long, long time ago I served in the US Marines. Back before new recruits were issued these suede boots that don't require polish. We did however get the patented leather dress shoes, which I normally didn't wear to inspections. Instead I purchased a pair of leather shoes to polish. I spent a long time polishing boots and shoes during those days and these days, I sometimes spend the time to put a great polish on my leather work shoes.I stumbled upon this product recently when investigating shoe polishes. It sounded like it was a premium polish that would be worth purchasing and trying for myself. I bought a can of the high gloss as well as the cream polish. The first thing I noticed is that the SMELL of the polishes by this company was quite different than what I am accustom to. This made me question what exactly is different in their formulation when compared to the various other polishes I had used over the years. It did not have a chemical or petroleum based smell that Kiwi or Lincoln polishes had.I found that the cream polish is great for a quick once over. Wipe it on, brush it off...done. Sure you can try going for a high shine with the creme polish but it doesn't seem to polish up or shine in the same way as their high gloss does. I would guess that there's not much wax in the creme polish. The high gloss polish, I really like this stuff. I've found that with other brands, you sometimes reach a point where the leather doesn't seem to take anymore polish and the more you try to get it to shine, you just end up with little pills of polish. The high gloss version of this seemed to take and take and take. I kept throwing more polish at the shoes little by little and it goes on quite well.

Saphir makes the best leather care period!
Saphir shoe cream, polish, and gloss are the best shoe care products out there in my opinion. Wish we had access to this back in my service days. Saphir is all I use on my leather shoes and boots now. Worth every penny!
